It is 24 by 18 1/2“ approx. with clear mirror. The thing that makes this mirror a bit different is the oval inner frame around the mirror. This is 4 pieces of tile that surround the mirror. Ornate Antique Gold Guilt Gesso Frame Beveled Mirror
This is a gorgeous. Antique, gold, gesso mirror that has been in my family for ages. The frame dates back to the 1880's according to my nana who passed it down to me. This piece has seen some wear and isn't perfect but, nothing that takes away from how gorgeous this piece is. I think any minor flaw just adds to the patina of the piece. The mirror itself is beveled and in beautiful condition for its age. There is hardly a scratch on it which is quite remarkable. The frame measures 20"x 20" and as you can see from the picture. Impressive and heavy antique French gilded wall mirror. With wooden frame and applied gilt gesso, totally original, from a bourgeoise maison in Bordeaux. Vintage Gesso-Framed Mirror This beautiful mirror has a painted. Molded gesso(plaster) frame applied to wood. The sticker on the back says"A Treasure Art Product, copyright JACO” I believe that this mirror was manufactured in the 1950’s or 60’s. The mirror is in good shape except for 2 tiny black spots. Circled in red in one of the photos. The frame is 30" by 20" and has 3 hairline cracks, indicated by red arrows, but otherwise is in good shape. It feels very solid and weighs approximately 11 lbs. Each corner of the frame has some gesso lose, please see all pictures. The mirror is heavy. It weighs almost 12 pounds. This is a tall framed antique mirror with a fruit and flower print on top and art deco gesso accents around the top edge. Corners under the print, and middle of the bottom edge, all of which is in good vintage condition. The frame is gold gilt with a recessed burgundy band all the way around the middle. There is very little paint loss, just a few minor scuffs and scratches. The mirror is in good condition, crystal clear images throughout, and only tiny specks of missing silver. This would be beautiful if used as-is, or perhaps an old photo could be added in place of the print to add a personal touch. This is a large. Antique wall mirror with three separate panels of glass in a gold wooden frame with gesso accents. The two end mirrors have floral patterns etched into the back. The frame looks re-painted, but the paint is relatively old and looks darkened from age. One of the corners has some chips missing(shown in the photos) but the remainder of the frame is complete with very little paint or gesso loss although there were a few tiny paint chips that have been touched up. The glass looks very good with some light streakiness and a couple dark spots from age, but they are not cloudy and images are clear throughout. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. A delightful small trumeau mirror with an elegance typical of the nineteenth century. Gesso gilt frame and an old world picture above the mirror which is of ladtes and gentlement in period costume cavorting around a field within a country scene. More than this I cannot tellyou but it is old. In godd sound condition for it's age, and has no defects I can find on close inspection apart from wear to the frame with age. The picture has been seale dover with lacquer to prtect it from further damage. As ther is a linear repair at the bottom of the picture which has been painted over in dark brown. Antique Mirror / Picture Frame. Stunning Gilt Gesso Moulding. 19th Century.
Beautiful Victorian Mirror/ Picture frame. The detail is gilt moulding in wonderful condition depicting oak leaves and acorns. It measures 74cm x 63.5 cms. Inside the measurements are 54.5 x 45cms. It is 5 cms deep. It houses a later mirror and the back is plywood. But I think it would have been a picture frame originally. There are 2 original iron rings to attach a cord. It looks beautiful as a mirror but will also be perfect housing an original painting. It is in great overall condition; there is a tiny loss to the gilt gesso, a few mms, hardly noticeable, on the inside, see pic. It has had worm at some point in the back, but this has long gone. I am auctioning this wonderful piece with great reluctance. It is a stunning piece and will look super hung in a traditional home.

Antique French trumeau mirror Strasbourg France gesso gilt frame good condition
A delightful small French trumeau mirror with an elegance typical of the nineteenth century. Gesso gilt frame and an old world picture above the mirror which is of ladies and gentlemen in period costume cavorting around a field within a country scene. More than this I cannot tel lyou but it is old. In good sound condition for it's age, and has no defects I can find on close inspection apart from wear to the frame with age. The picture has been sealed over with lacquer to protect it from further damage. As there is a linear repair at the bottom of the picture which has been painted over in dark brown. Overall it is a lovely piece for a small powder room or bedroom. The back markings show that it comes from Strasbourg. Painting is of an old world scene which has been sealed with a clear lacquer to protect it from damage. I am not certain ... moreif the scene is a real painting or not and therefore will not guarantee that it is. But there are obvious repairs at the bottom edge which I don't think would have been done unless the mirror was considered worthwhile. A very attractive and delightful smaller Trumeau Mirror in excellent taste to highlight a nook or dressing area. Back is marked but hard to read even toough I have included several pictures of it.And I myself made a mistake when I first tried to read it. I apologize for this- however with the help from a competent advisor who viewed the mirror and contacted me I have re-visited the back of the mirror again using strong magnification, And it reads"Maison D'Art J. GERNER" STRASBOURG with some smaller writing. One word of which is"jours" Mirror Dimensions are: 24 inches high by 11.5 inches wide. Or 59 cm by 28cm.

VTG large Wood Gesso Wall Mirror Beveled Ornate Gilded Frame Hollywood Regecy
This is a gorgeous. Opulent wall mirror. The frame is black and old gold and is ornately decorated. It seems to be high quality and the guy I bought it from said it came from a VERY nice estate in Malibu. I have no idea of the age of the piece, but it looks great and it comes ready wired for hanging with heavy duty fixings(in portrait orientation, but no doubt you can get it changed to landscape, if you wish) It is a good size 33 by 20 1/2 inches and the mirror is 25.5 by 13 inches. The mirror has a beveled edge and is in good condition. The back shows some superficial damage and the front has some chipping revealing the white gesso below, but it is stable and just gives it a bit of patina. It is very heavy. Antique Shabby Victorian Green Gold Gilt Wood & Gesso Picture Frame Wall Mirror
This is an excellent antique wall mirror made from an original Victorian picture frame with elegant leafy scroll and beaded lattice patterns in five contrasting borders. The lattice patterned borders have been painted a matte green and the other three borders have their original gold gilding that has taken on a marbled. Iridescent quality over time. The gesso is nearly 100% complete with just a few small chips that have been touched up. All frame corners are tight, nothing is loose or broken, and there is a wire hanger on the back for wall hanging horizontally. The mirror is excellent with no age spots or missing silver.
