Mauves, yellow, blue, and green, an off antique white lace like b ackground. Pink edging on inside of frame, the frame itself is a greenish color, and a glass mirror insert. The flowers appear that they might of originally been some type of silk arrangement that has a clear coating over it to make them stiff and also has a green vel vet ribbon accent. Back of the frame has two(2) metal rings and wire for easy hanging on a wall or door. Measures overall 12 1/2"in. wide. 1 4 1/2"in. tall. And 3"in. deep. Antique French wood and gold gesso mirror, style of Louis XV
This mirror is just in from France. The frame is made of a dark chestnut wood with an oval gesso inset that frames the mirror. There are large gesso cartouches at the top and bottom of the mirror. The frame dates from the beginning of the 20th century. The mirror part is a recent addition. The style is Louis XV. The piece is in very good condition with as only flaw a slight separation at two of the corners of the wood frame. Obviously time has played with the wood and it is no longer a seamless fit. The mirror has great appeal and the wood has a wonderful patina. It is quite a remarkable piece! Vintage wall mirror in wood frame W.A. French Furniture Company
Classic wall mirror appears to be from the turn of the previous century or so. This estate sale find is heavy and is in a medium-tone wood frame that once apparently was graced with some paint and what looks to have been a painted rose or a decal over the top. It's marked on the back as a product of the W.A. French Furniture Company of Minneapolis on the back. William(Bill) French was apparently nationally known for his furniture creations. This one is in a frame that measures 40 1/4 inches by 22 inches and is 1 inch thick. It has a wood backing.27 3/4 inches by 19 1/2 inches. The mirror frame has wear. Scratches, dents and dings. Paint has faded substantially. Mirror also showing its age, with some internal streaking and distortion. See photos for more, or contact sellers.

The gold has an aged look and there are some spots here and there where the paint has worn away. Especially on the bottom edge(see pictures 9-10) which gives it a slightly shabby appearance. One area where the gesso has chipped off on a petal(bottom left, picture 8) Also an indentation in the wood to the right of that(manufacturing flaw- picture 8) Apart from that everything else is in good shape. Vintage Wood Mirror Chic French Blue Distressed Shabby Country Beach Cottage
This is a beautiful heavy solid wood mirror. I believe it is around 50-60 years old. It has a nice little detail around the inner part of the wood. It was originally a tan stain and I painted it a French blue chalk paint and the distressed it so you can see the natural wood in some places and the light stain color as well.I then sealed it with clear paste wax. It is very distressed for a primitive look. If you are looking to add a pretty French blue to your decor this will be the perfect addition! PLEASE NOTE: There are a couple flecks in the mirror. SIZE: 25" X 21" Due to it being fragile I will ship it in an oversize box. This will cause the cost of shipping to increase. It measures approx. 20" X 32" The frame is wooden and it is covered in beautiful 3D roses(they look like roses to me) The entire mirror is then gold gilt. This ca. 1845-1860 walnut on pine veneer frame is topped by deeply carved solid walnut crest and measures 38 ½” x 21 3/8” with 28 ¼” x 16 ½” reveal. It is constructed of 1 ½” thick wood and the entire frame appears to retain its original finish under a later coat of varnish. There are mounting holes on the side of the frame and you will note minor shrinkage cracks in the stable veneer which has no obvious loss. Most likely French but possibly American: Circa 1850-60 Appraised by Certified Appraiser in 2006. The Pair( $ 5.200.00) $10,400.00 as follows: A pair of fine gilt mirrors. Most likely French but possibly American: Circa 1850-60. The mirrors are mounted as pier mirrors with the tables not included. Each mirror has a tall oval glass set in an oval frame with stylized leafage and flowers at the center of each vertical side. That oval frame is set within a massive rococo gilt frame with beautifully detailed scrolled openwork with ... morefoliage and an elaborate cartouche finial from which spring open morning glories. The frame is made with a straight bottom, for setting upon a mantlepiece of pier table. A related overmantel mirror, with horizontal oval glass, is in the Bayou Bend Collection, Houston.
