And there is about a million of inches of snow on the ground, in order to take a few pictures of this huge carrier, I took it outside because nothing beats sunlight for showing colors accurately. In other words, I did it for you. This carrier is right out of someone’s smokehouse. And it comes complete with cobwebs, estate dirt, and everything else associated with old, undisturbed, primitive things. It is big! The box part is 25 ½” by 10 ¾” at the top edge. It is 4 ½” deep. The total height to the top of the handle is 6 ½” So we’re talking about a large tote. Weight = 5 ½ lbs. I managed to get two or three pictures before almost freezing to death. And I know who’s to blame. It’s the person who invented the chill factor. I knew it was 3° outside, but my smart phone said it“felt like” 10° below zero. We didn’t have all this“wind-chill factor” horse pucky back when I was a pup. We looked at the thermometer, and if it said it was 3°, we knew to bundle up. But there are a few issues; some of the veneer on the front right& left bottom corners is chipped(see pictures) The mirror is secured. But feels a little loose and has a hidden crack under the frame at the top right(cant see i t while on display) The m irro r itself is a little scratched looking if you look close and may need to be replaced i f that kind of thing bothers you. This is an excellent charming antique wall mirror with a very old coat of ivory paint that has a crackle appearance because of its age. The frame is wooden and very sturdy and the glass is thick. Heavy, and beveled all the way around. There is some cloudiness and streakiness from age, but overall, the mirror looks very good. There are no chips or cracks. This is perfectly useable and hangable and has a look that is very versatile; use it as-is or add something to it(antique hat hooks perhaps) There are two screw eyes and a chain attached to the back for hanging, but I'm not sure if the chain is strong enough to hold up the mirror and would consider upgrading to a heavy wire. Here is an antique oval mirror. Mirrored glass is not beveled. The wood is dark. Maybe walnut or mahogany. It does seem to have stain on it. Some rough spots along the edge, and one small chip. But the carved wooden frame is still lovely, and the glass is not scratched, cracked or chipped. The way the back is finished makes me think this was a picture frame that someone turned into a mirror. 15 3/4 inches by 12 3/4 inches, and the wooden frame is about 1 1/2 thick. This auction is for an antique mirror. It is oval in shape and measures approx. 25 by 31 inches. It has a gold liner and the frame has been painted black. There is some nice detail on the frame. I am uncertain of the age but can tell it is much older. Also quite heavy. There is some minor wear to the frame as can be scene in the photos. Thanks for looking. The mirror is perfect rectangle. I had to take the pictures angled due to the reflection. This is a nice sturdy heavy mirror. I would recommend a wall anchor when mounting on a wall.

Antique French Bamboo Wooden Mirror 1800's This old mirror might have seen the face of Vincent Van Gogh as it came from his village of Arles in Provence. It is not silvered but rather coated in Mercury as they were known to do back in the day. It is worn and has lost some of it's coating leaving cloudy spots. It is however authentique and old so we can forgive the"rides" or wrinkles of age n'est-ce pas? It was made to resemble bamboo with the wood having been turned and pieced together with knob and mortise fixings at the corners. There are finials of wooden spools that accent the tips and there is an old original rusted chain that was designed to hold it on a nail longways. The backing is original sheet of cardboard. There are small worm holes in the trim around this cardboard but not in the wood designed to look like ... morebamboo that frames the mirror. It measures 14" by 12" wide by the outer frame and the mirror itself within measures 9" by 6" wide. If beauty can be measured by the visions she held in the past. she is radiantly beautiful to behold today. Antique Gold Washed Wooden Hand Carved Framed Mirror
This intricately detailed antique wooden mirror was hand carved with great expertise. Each side is flanked by woven lattice columns measuring 16 inches in height and 1 1/4 inches wide. The top of the mirror has multiple matching squares each with a flower in the center. The surrounding top and bottom of the mirror are symmetrical borders measuring 1 1/2 inches and are embellished with identical floral designs. The frame is gold washed and in wonderful condition for it's age. The mirror measures 8 inches tall and 6 inches wide. But including the frame, the measurement is 14 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches wide. The wood has a rounded top and the finish is variegated stains to appear like burl wood. There is some cracking of the wood on the lower left and upper right corners. Backside is rough sawn lumber.
