ANTIQUE DUTCH "MAASTRICHT" WHITE PORCELAIN BOWL/STRAINER W/ LION PAW FEET
This very unusual strainer has eight elevated sides. Measures 8"20.3 cm) in diameter, is 3 3/4"9.5 cm) deep and has three 1 1/4"3.2 cm) high lion paw feet. This piece is in lovely condition with no chips, cracks, breaks or hairlines. The black transfer Mark on the bottom is the Sphinx and reads"P. Regout& Co.Maastricht" The company started in 1836, then when the father died, his sons took over in 1878, when they started using this mark. This piece is porcelain and the style and shape would date this to some time between 1878 and 1890. It has a single diamond shaped perforation in the center that is surrounded by heart-shaped and leaf shaped perforations. There are also, evenly spaced, at four of the 8 corners, a single heart shaped perforation with a leaf perforation on either side. But what really makes this ... morepiece though, are the three large lion paw feet the bowl rests on. I've never seen anything quite like it before. We are pleased to offer this beautiful mirror. This lovely antique to older vintage mirror features French Trumeau design with a wonderful Tortoise Shell Eglomise pattern above the long mirror. The pattern is done in dark brown with gold highlights and veining under glass. The frame is simple and elegant. Very Parisian. It is solid wood which is painted in white with a very soft French blue or teal on the raised areas of the wooden frame. Each corner piece is a carved floral accent which is painted in gold. The frame has been overglazed with a shimmering, pearlized glaze which is a transluscent white in color. The result is lovely and the colors are very muted and soft. I believe this beautiful antique mirror is from the 1920s-1930s. It has a white wood frame which has attained a nice patina. The glass is beveled with a few spots that could be re-silvered. This is a beautiful mirror. I had to paint it to bring out the beauty of the frame. Its stunning. So much detail in the arched top and then the corners have the same beautiful detail. Its etched in a box design. Its just under 32" across and is 22 1/2" down from the center of the arch. Just mirrow 18" down. You will love this one especially in a shabby home, the detail is the show stopper on this one, its hard to put it up for sale but I can't keep everything I like. It has been coated with a clear adhesive to help prevent further chipping. The heavy glass mirror moves inside the frame and you may need to secure it so it stays in place when hung depending on how you plan on hanging it? This could be accomplished by taking the old wood backing off, or perhaps by running a bead of white caulking inside the inner frame?

Antique wall mirror painted shabby white with architectural design.
This is a great large wall mirror. I have painted it not perfectly to have it look shabby. I've done it in a creamy white and then shabbied the paint in places to have the wood show through. There is also some drips of paint to add to the look. The detail on the wood is great makes it really stand out. The wire on the back might need some adjusting. There is a small black spot in bottom corner. Nothing to bother the use of the mirror, there are also some lines in the mirror but not enough to use and see perfectly in the mirror. It measures 35" high 14 1/2 wide. The board across the top measures 19" wide. Any questions please ask and thank you for looking.

The mirror is adorned with musical instruments and French wreaths on the upper section, all in gold leaf. The lower side sections have neoclassical urn accents. The urns are brass tole appliques which are also in gold leaf. The actual mirror(glass) is framed with a dimensional, carved wood surround. This is a gorgeous mirror with elegant character. It lifts up off of its cradle which is fine. But at one time the two were glued together. The mirror on the back has a white paint drip from sloppy room painter. The piece is in very good condition. Antique Hitchcock Split Baluster White Wood Tole Mirror Reverse Painted Federal
Lovely old antique/ vintage Hitchcock Tole Mirror in creamy white with gold accents to the turned wooden balusters with gold rosettes. Condition is very nice on this piece considering the age with no breaks or cracks. The wood still has shiny luster to it. There is a slight patina to the creamy white adding a faint yellow typical on white tole. The reverse painting is in very nice condition, with no peeling or cracks. There may be a slight scratch here or there. The back still has the original authentic Hitchcock Company paper with a letter from Lambert Hitchcock dating November 17, 1832, and a picture of his factory. The paper has some tears, but it is intact which is unusual for the age. Please see all closeup photos. From what I can find they were in business during the middle 1800s, so I'll assume this mirror is from that era. There is one piece of decoration that is broken off exposing a metal tab, which shows how the mirror was made. The golden bronze color is rich and exceptional. This item was purchased at a local auction and I was told it is from the early 1900s. Framed gesso mirror measures 27" wide and 25 1/2" top to bottom. Antique Victorian white/ cream colored Gutta Percha hand mirror cute girl & boy
An antique Victorian era gutta percha dresser or hand mirror with embossed or raised design of cute little girl in bonnet and fancy dress and a little boy dressed fine cloths sitting on what looks like a pile or rocks. Maybe at a seaside setting. The detail of their clothing is very fine and she has a Kate Greenway girl look to her. This is a unusual colored gutta percha, which usually is found in black or browns. Don't know if they had a bleaching technique or how it was produced. As is typical of this early rubber type material, it often has cracks and shrink lines as it is an organic material and subject to drying and shrinking separations. There is a line across the bottom area of the body of the mirror that goes out to edge and around the edge but mirror still seem intact and solid, not ready to break apart or anything. I am sure ... morethe gutta has yellowed or discolored a bit from whatever it's original shade was and is a bit soiled but still looks and displays nicely. It is actually more of a cream or similar color, not a real white. It looks a bit more whitish in photos than in life. Last photo is closer to color. The mirror is there but also suffers a bit of the typical problems with these old mirrors. Has some spots and spiderweb type area loss of the silvering but you can still see yourself in it. Beautiful architectural antique wall mirror. Shabby country white, shabbied.
This is a stunning mirror with such architectural detail. I have primed and painted it a creamy country white. I then shabbied it in places. The top measures 19" across the top with the wood and the bottom width is 17" It needs a repair of the wire on the back to hang. There are two areas with a little dot mark on the mirror and across the bottom there are some line marks but not in a area to hinder using the purpose of the mirror. You have to agree this is the perfect mirror in a shabby home with such detail showing so nicely painted the country white. Love it. Any questions please ask and thank you for looking.

Antique Art Noveau Hand Mirror Brass Bakelite Psyche Fairy predates White Water. Beautiful Early Brass and possibly early bakelite hand vanity mirror with features Paul Thumann's Psyche at Natures Mirror. This painting was purchased at the Chicago World's Fair in 1892 and the rights were sold to White Rock Beverages. Psyche the fairy topless girl became one of the top ten recognizable advertising characters in the country in the early part of the 1900's. I believe this mirror most likely pre-dates White Water's use of Psyche. Very old brass mirror with a reddish bakelite type of plastic. I sold an early german bakelite piece years ago and this insert reminds me of that. 9-1/2 inches long. The glass mirror shows some wear and the mirror flaking from behinds some. Thick beveled glass. Great antique painted framed mirror oyster white aafa
A very small mirror with raised ball decoration in a wonderful oyster white paint with old wear and patina. The glass is very old with wear to the silvering that gives it a great look but is still usable. It is 6 1/2" by 9 1/2" and has a original brass ring to hang it but it also can be hung horizontally. I absolutely love this mirror! With a little TLC. My husband& I were able to bring it back to life: This mirror is probably around 100 years old or more! It is such a pretty ornate carved wood frame…not composite! Mirror glass has beveled edge. There are 2 small areas of the gesso detailing are missing. Mirror frame has been painted in layers of white& creamy white chalk paint. Slightly distressed to show original gold throughout and given a top coat of protective wax. Mirror has some aged glass and shows patina, but as expected with a piece this old! Mirror still has a nice reflection and is in very good condition! 1930 Antique WHITE SEID 25 x 25 Baroque Gesso & Wood Framed Mirror
Your viewing an antique 1930 White Seid Baltimore Boroque Mirror. The mirror is hand carved wood and gesso with a gold finish. I believe this was an original wood gesso combination originally in which the gold or bronze tone was added. CONDITION: The morror has a few minor age spots as shown. The frame has some minor cracks that are very small and visable only by looking very close at the frame. The backing has its original paper with the White Seid logo sticker still in tact. As you can see the paper has major wear but it can easily be replaced if preferred. Measurements: The entire frame is 25 inches long and 25 inches wide. The mirror measures 24 inches wide. The weight of the entire peice is almost 12 pounds.
