Welcome to Papa& Nana Treasures* Vintage/ Antique gold gilt frame with etched mirror and a half circle at the top. This is a stunning mirror with a urn. Flower pot at the top and also etched in the mirror. The top of this frame is the urn and it has been repaired. When we purchased this my husband couldn't believe the bad attempt to repair it so my husband took it apart and repaired it the right way. So from the front it's hard to tell it was ever broken off. This is about 37 1/2" tall and 19 1/2" wide(22" at the widest point) but the actual inside measurement would be 27 1/2" x 17 1/2" Both measurments are from the top of the arch to the bottom. This large wall mirror came from an auction in Vermont. The auctioneer called it"period. The frame measures 41 3/4" high and 19 1/2" wide. The mirror has some spots under the glass. I have tried showing some of the spots in the 9th picture. There is some gold paint loss. Some chipping, and some wear to the frame, see all pictures. The top right corner has a crack line, see the 10th picture. The mirror weights 10 pounds, 5 ounces.

The back of the middle panel is covered with a leather-style board. This mirror sits elevated on 4 decorative little feet, and is finished off with brass scrollwork along the top of the central panel, and a heavy chain for hanging. The hinges operate smoothly, and the mirror can be displayed in folded form in tight spaces. Fully opened, measures ~13in tall X 33&1/2in wide, with a 13in long chain for hanging. Cast iron frame FLOATING mirror beveled edge vtg wall antique metal mercury hang
This piece has a cast iron or wrought iron frame that would hang on the wall and the beveled edge mirror fits within the frame. The mirror would rather“float” between the iron frame. It has two decorative hinge type connectors that would secure the mirror. I am not a very“handy” type person and I cannot get the mirror inside this frame. It seems too wide. But I know that is just because I do not know how to secure it. This mirror definitely goes with this frame, so it has to fit. I know a“handy” type person could get it secured. If you are"unhandy. like me, you get 2 cool separate pieces! The frame is a cast iron or wrought iron black metal piece in very good condition– no rust– very good condition. The metal has a twisted ribbon like look. I have yet to find any maker’s mark on this piece. But it could be that I do not know where to ... morelook. Due to the design– a maker’s mark could be hidden. The mirror has a thick rough or scalloped type beveled edge. I was going to say no chips. But on closer I think there may possibly be a chip in one of the scallops. Rather hard to tell due to the decorative cut at the edges of the mirror. Also. As you can see, the silver or mercury backing has worn off in several places. It is an old piece. Exact age unknown– I do not know if this is an older vintage piece– I assume collectors can tell by the mirror cut and the frame style- Size: The metal frame measures approx 12 3/4ths inches in length. The center cut-out measures approx 6 1/4 by 4 1/8th inches. The mirror measures approx 5 3/4ths by 3 5/8ths inches. It is approx 1/4 inch thick at the edges. Condition: The cast iron frame still looks very good. As you can see. The back of the mirror shows much wear. As stated above, the mirror has a thick rough beveled edge and it is difficult to tell, but there may be a chip on one of the scalloped edges. Rather hard to tell due to the decorative cut at the edges of the mirror. Well packaged. This rather unique old vintage or antique primitive mirror will weigh over 1 pound, but
