Beautiful ornate antique large gold gilt ornately decorated mirror with what I believe to be plaster over wood/gesso frame. This piece is in wonderful antique condition. With two chips that I captured, so please look closely at the photos. This is a gorgeous large piece that has held up well over the years. This is a large antique oval gold ornate mirror. The frame is made of wood with carved gesso flowers and bows on the edges. I would gu ess it dates f rom 1910- 1940. It measures 16 1/4" x 22 3/4" It has a pretty art nouveau design. There is a sturdy w ire on the back for hanging. The frame might have been repainted at some time. I can't say for sure. Flower pot at the top and also etched in the mirror. The top of this frame is the urn and it has been repaired. When we purchased this my husband couldn't believe the bad attempt to repair it so my husband took it apart and repaired it the right way. So from the front it's hard to tell it was ever broken off. This is about 37 1/2" tall and 19 1/2" wide(22" at the widest point) but the actual inside measurement would be 27 1/2" x 17 1/2" Both measurments are from the top of the arch to the bottom. Hello.you are bidding on this beautiful elegant ornate wood mirror pictured in this listing. This rare antique beauty comes to you from a barn of antiques in Vermont that I am auctioning off for a friend of mines parents who passed away(Please see some of their/my other items on my page) Although I am uncertain of the exact age. This vintage piece comes from sometime in the early 1900's as do all of the pieces I am selling. The mirror is striking, beautiful, and magnificent when you first see it, just as you saw it for the first time here. It both commands you and invites you to look at it. The corners of the mirror come with Victorian Woodland Finials while the top of the piece features an elegant but not gaudy wood carving. The dimensions of this piece are as follows: 48" tall x 25" wide. Antique Victorian Gold Gilt Wood Gesso Framed 3 Section Etched Wall Mirror
This is a stunning Victorian wall mirror with an elegant gold gilt wooden frame with gesso accents that is separates the mirror into three sections. There is a beautiful floral and stripe border etched into the back of the glass on each end. The mirror is in good condition overall with a few small spots of missing silver and faint cloudiness in a few areas. But mages look crystal clear throughout. There are some shallow scratches and scuffs on the far right mirror section that is slightly visible in the photo of that section. The frame is excellent with no missing gesso. The gold finish looks very good with only a few touch ups that were done in matching paint and are not obvious. There are a few tiny chips of paint missing, but they are not noticeable unless closely inspected. This is a long mirror, measuring 54" L x 18" H. There ... moreis a wire on the back for hanging, but it is a little bit long and is visible when the mirror is hung. The paper backing is no longer intact, but the cardboard panel is there and there are small square nails all the way around holding the cardboard and glass in place. I have wedged some extra cardboard pieces behind some of the nails that were touching the glass, and I will make sure to fill in any loose spots or exposed glass on the back with extra cardboard before shipping. I will place pillows over the top, wrap it well, double box it, and insure it during shipping.

This is a stunning antique gold gilded cast iron wall or table mirror. it is extremely ornate and done in a beautiful Victorian style. the mirror is nicely beveled and held in by a screwed in iron plate in the back. the frame is nicely footed and wrapped with cut out scroll and floral detailing. it is a thick frame and has some nice weight to it. there is a pivoting arm in the back that stands the mirror up on a flat surface or can be pushed aside to hang on a wall. the frame measures 13 1/2 inches tall by 8 3/8 inches wide. in good shape. This offering is for a beautiful and OLD. Victorian/Arts& Crafts large wall or mantel mirror. This gorgeous mirror features a substantial(chunky, if you will) solid wood frame made of turned wood with a center section of French or Barley twist accent. Trimmed similarly to an old window or door, the frame has four large corner blocks with an Arts and Crafts styled floral bouquet/basket appliques. The spool wood is hand fitted into the back wood frame which is also thick and substantial. The frame has been gilded and the color is now a beautiful, aged gold or bronzed color. The mirror is in very good condition for its age(early 1900s) There is some expected wear/aging to the patina of the wood. There are some minor scratches and chips but these are not distracting and actually compliment the character of the piece. There appears to have ... morebeen one minor repair to the frame where it meets the mirror. It appears as a piece was cracked and has been glued to secure it(see picture 11) It is holding quite well with no issues. The back is faced with paper. The old hangers have been removed with a center hanger attached. I think the mirror is too heavy for a single hanger so you may want to add an additional hanger. The mirror is meant to hang horizontally as the corner floral baskets dictate this(otherwise, they will hang side ways) The mirrored glass is in good condition with no chips, cracks or loss of back coating. The mirror is large and measures 41" wide and 21" tall. It extends 2.75" from the wall. The mirror glass is 33.5" x 13.75" The mirror is heavy and weighs approximately 25-30 lbs. Antique Victorian Convex Gold Gilt Wood Gesso Federal Eagle Framed Wall Mirror
This is a fantastic antique Federal Eagle crested convex wall mirror with 13 balls around the frame signifying the 13 colonies. It is an original antique piece from around the turn of the century. The frame and glass are in excellent condition. Nothing is missing, or broken, the gesso is 100% complete, the crest and decorative piece on the bottom are tightly intact and not loose or cracked, and the mirror doesn't have any missing silver or age spots. The frame might have been re-painted at one time, but if it was, it was long ago and not obvious. Some of the 13 balls have recently been touched up where the paint was chipped(shown in the close-up of the ball) but the touchup paint matches nicely. The gesso has some shallow hairline cracks typical for its age, but nothing is loose. One of the eagle's wingtips has a small area of paint ... morechipped off. There is a new piece of cardboard and new nails on the back along with new eye hooks and a new hanging wire(in my opinion though, the hooks are too small and the wire is too thin so replacements might be necessary. The outer dimensions of the frame are 31" H x 21" W. It will be packed very well. Double boxed, and insured during shipping. It is guaranteed to arrive safely.

Antique Victorian 3 Section Floral Etched Bedroom Wall Mirror Gold Gesso Frame
This is a large. Antique wall mirror with three separate panels of glass in a gold wooden frame with gesso accents. The two end mirrors have floral patterns etched into the back. The frame looks re-painted, but the paint is relatively old and looks darkened from age. One of the corners has some chips missing(shown in the photos) but the remainder of the frame is complete with very little paint or gesso loss although there were a few tiny paint chips that have been touched up. The glass looks very good with some light streakiness and a couple dark spots from age, but they are not cloudy and images are clear throughout. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. This is an excellent antique wall mirror made from an original Victorian picture frame with elegant leafy scroll and beaded lattice patterns in five contrasting borders. The lattice patterned borders have been painted a matte green and the other three borders have their original gold gilding that has taken on a marbled. Iridescent quality over time. The gesso is nearly 100% complete with just a few small chips that have been touched up. All frame corners are tight, nothing is loose or broken, and there is a wire hanger on the back for wall hanging horizontally. The mirror is excellent with no age spots or missing silver. This is a nice original Victorian wall mirror in octagon shaped wooden frame with floral gesso accents covered with metallic gold paint. The frame looks re-painted. But looks very good with very little to no paint loss and no gesso loss. There is a crack along the gesso where the crest is attached to the frame, but it is not loose. The glass is in very good condition but has some typical discoloration on the silver finish from age. There is some light spottiness and light streakiness along with a few small dark spots, but images still look clear throughout. The outer dimensions of the frame are 20 1/4" W x 18 1/4" H. It will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.
