Antique Bradley & Hubbard Ornate Cast Iron Bronzed Bacchus Mirror Frame
Antique ornate cast iron bronzed mirror frame depicting the head of the Greek God Bacchus. The rest of the frame is a tremendous amount of work in the Art Nouveau style. This has the original formed tin sheet that is the backing to hold the mirror in the frame. There is no mirror. A replacement will be required and can be acquired at any glass and mirror shop in almost all towns and cities. They are inexpensive. This is marked B&H, and has a bronze ring to hang it with. Manufactured around 1870. It is almost identical to an easel bronze Bacchus bronze mirror frame I have listed as well. But the easel mirror frame is not marked. Both were acquired from the same estate and they were used as a set, one on a parlour table, the other hanging above it. The two bottom corners of this piece have no feet as does the easel frame, and less flourish ... moreon these two corners. It is impossible to tell if this was manufactured this way as part of this set, or if an early owner had it customized this way to hang above the easel frame in my other listing. A very beautiful example of early cast iron and bronze guilding. This piece is 14.25" tall. And 9.5" wide, and heavy. Payment by PayPal only- No eChecks. Great antique victorian ornate cast iron beveled glass mirror
Beautiful ornate scrolled victorian cast iron mirror with beveled glass. With darkened gold color. Stands about 13 inches tall by about 9 inches wide. Has a beautiful scrolled easel stand. The back of the mirror has a metal plate that is held on with four swivel bars- the bottom one is stuck in the open position down inbetween the frame and the back- I did not attempt to move it. Stamped on the top back I think with the number 1040- hard to read, for a makers mark. Only flaw is a chip on the mirror on the lower left bevel, which doesn't affect the clarity of the mirror, which has some light surface scratches due to age and wear, and I see only a little discoloration/silver loss on the lower right beveled edge, and some tiny spots here and there. Really pretty example of an old victorian mirror in nice shape for its age, with fancy easel ... morestand. Please ask any other questions. Description This handsome antique cast iron frame stands 10 1/2" tall and is 10 3/4" wide. It has a folding stand on the back which allows it to stand freely. The design of the frame is unique and features a French motif. All around the piece are fleur-de-lis. The top has plumes and a helmet. And the feet have griffin like creatures holding shields with a fleur-de-lis. The frame has a mirror; it is not original to the frame but looks good. This antique swivel mirror is made of cast iron and/or cast brass and contains its original beveled glass mirror insert. Although it's difficult to make out all the words. I'm sure that the back is marked with the words"Verlag bei E. G. Zimmermann Hanau" My assistant has just pointed out that there is actually a diacritical mark over the"m" and the"n" rather than doubled consonants, so maybe this will help to date the piece for those more knowledgeable than I am. I don't see any numbers, so I'm guessing that this may date to pre-1850, but this is based on information I culled from other listings, etc. so please do your own research if this is important to you. This definitely dates to the 19th century and was made at the foundry of E. G. Zimmermann in Hanau, Germany. The mirror has no cracks. ... moreAlthough there is age-related damage to the silvering, as well as an approximately 3/4" scratch near the top and a tiny chip on the bevel edge of the mirror near the top. My sharp-eyed assistant noticed when photographing the mirror that one of the back feet doesn't sit quite flush with the tabletop. I've owned this for a year or so without ever noticing this. The entire frame measures 12&3/4" tall x 8&3/4" wide. And the base is 4&3/4" deep. This has a lovely patina of age with some verdigris to the finish. This auction is for a really awesome Bradley and Hubbard nickle plated cast iron mirrored 3 arm sconce. This piece is beautifully ornate and in really nice condition. The piece measures about 16" long and about 9" wide. The iron work is incredible. With scrolls and East lake style sconce arms. At the top is a portrait of Bachcus, the Roman God of wine and intoxication. The nickle plating is in excellent condition and most of these that you see are in a brass finish. I have taken pictures with and without a flash. The first are it's true color and the others look gold but are there just to show better detail. The mirror is in nice condition for it's age with only a little light spotting near the top. The sconce arms are a bit loose and may need a different screw to hold them tighter to the piece. Check out this offering of a gorgeous and ornate late 1800's gilt cast iron framed mirror! The intricate design involves a scrolled leaf motif with a small bouquet a the top(accented with pink) with additional pink accent at the bottom center. This mirror has a hinged easel back for display on a dresser or vanity but could also be hung quite easily if desired. The original beveled mirror is intact with no cracks but there is a small chip in the upper right and there are spots on the silver backing that are missing. The original paperboard back is still in place. While the mirror itself is not perfect. It produces a good image overall. there is a marked" oct 14 1910" on the bottom of the oval shape glass. the rim/edge of the glass piece has some crack on it. This auction is for a great old metal mirror. The frame is all metal. I am unsure of the age of this mirror. The metal work is very nice. The mirror measures 13 by 23 inches and the total piece is 17 by 34 inches. The mirror is quite heavy which leads me to believe it is old or very well made reproduction. It is in great shape. The mirror is perfect rectangle. I had to take the pictures angled due to the reflection. This is a nice sturdy heavy mirror. I would recommend a wall anchor when mounting on a wall.

Nice Antique Gold Gilt Cast Iron Cherub Angel Dresser Vanity Boudoir Mirror
This mirror has a heavy cast iron frame with a nice metallic gold finish and original mirror inside. The frame is fantastic with kissing angels at the top. Cascading flowers and ribbon down one side, a bountiful harvest of fruits and vegetables with ribbon cascading down the other side, and two winged cherubs standing atop faces of evil at their feet. Their is almost no paint loss or dark spots on the frame, but the glass has some light spottiness throughout, although images are still pretty clear throughout. Outer measurements of the frame are 15 3/4" x 13" and there is folding foot on the back that swings out about 4" The frame is marked JM 10 on the back.

Vintage Antique Gold Gilt Cast Iron Federal Eagle Mirror by Iron Art Co.
This is a fantastic gold gilt cast iron mirror with an eagle perched on top and elegant scrolls around the sides and bottom. The metal is excellent. And the gold finish is still shimmery, not dull but probably a little darkened from age, and 100% intact with little wear. The mirror is held in place by three clasps that screw into the frame and blue pieces of felt are positioned under the clasps to protect the mirror. There is a small chip missing from the top edge of the mirror, but it is not visible from the front if the mirror is properly positioned. There is also one tiny scratch in the silver backing on the mirror, but it is hardly noticeable. There is a hanger screwed onto the back for wall hanging. The frame is marked Iron Art Co. Outer measurements are 10 1/2" W x 17" H, and the glass measures 4 1/4" x 10 1/4"

This is a stunning antique 19th century Victorian solid cast iron table pivoting mirror. it is a large mirror that is extremely ornate. Made from thick heavy cast iron, and has a lovely gold gilded finish. the mirror is in an oval format and pivots 180 degrees on two ribbed iron arms in the back connected to the base. the mirror has a detailed engraved trim. The frame is extremely detailed with floral and scroll detailing done in high relief. the base is nicely footed and is equally as ornate as the rest of the piece if not more. it has a beautiful cut out design and tapers from thin to wider. it is in great shape with a nice patina from age measuring 17 3/8 inches tall by 10 3/4 inches wide. Antique Vanity Mirror Cherubs Brass Colored Cast Iron Vintage
Here is an antique oval vanity mirror with an ornate cast iron frame featuring five cherubs. Flowers, and other designs. It measures 11.5 inches wide and 9.5 inches high; the bevelled mirror is 6.5 by 5 inches. It is marked"309" on the back, but has no other maker's mark. I think this originally had an easel stand on the back so it could sit on the dresser top. But someone has modified it to hang instead. The front of the frame is painted a brass color(the picture of the whole mirror represents the true color better than the closeups) it has lost minor amounts of paint. The mirror reflects well, but has some scratches and spots.

Bronze is riveted to the iron background. Measures 40 inches tall and 24 1/2 inches at its widest. I found a picture of this mirror with the console that it went with on the Internet. This piece has a cast iron or wrought iron frame that would hang on the wall and the beveled edge mirror fits within the frame. The mirror would rather“float” between the iron frame. It has two decorative hinge type connectors that would secure the mirror. I am not a very“handy” type person and I cannot get the mirror inside this frame. It seems too wide. But I know that is just because I do not know how to secure it. This mirror definitely goes with this frame, so it has to fit. I know a“handy” type person could get it secured. If you are"unhandy. like me, you get 2 cool separate pieces! The frame is a cast iron or wrought iron black metal piece in very good condition– no rust– very good condition. The metal has a twisted ribbon like look. I have yet to find any maker’s mark on this piece. But it could be that I do not know where to ... morelook. Due to the design– a maker’s mark could be hidden. The mirror has a thick rough or scalloped type beveled edge. I was going to say no chips. But on closer I think there may possibly be a chip in one of the scallops. Rather hard to tell due to the decorative cut at the edges of the mirror. Also. As you can see, the silver or mercury backing has worn off in several places. It is an old piece. Exact age unknown– I do not know if this is an older vintage piece– I assume collectors can tell by the mirror cut and the frame style- Size: The metal frame measures approx 12 3/4ths inches in length. The center cut-out measures approx 6 1/4 by 4 1/8th inches. The mirror measures approx 5 3/4ths by 3 5/8ths inches. It is approx 1/4 inch thick at the edges. Condition: The cast iron frame still looks very good. As you can see. The back of the mirror shows much wear. As stated above, the mirror has a thick rough beveled edge and it is difficult to tell, but there may be a chip on one of the scalloped edges. Dates likely to the late 1800's(1880-1899) and is in excellent condition! It is from the Victorian period. But has a definite Medieval theme. This extraordinary item weighs a full 15 pounds! It's 20 1/2" tall and 12 1/2" wide at widest. The bottom base is 12" long x 5" deep. Mirror glass alone is 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" not counting the riveted frame around it! Very substantial. Details: First of all. It's gorgeous! Highly ornate with an intricate Crown at the top, 2 knights-in-armor, swords, shields, flags, tools(looks like hatchet and others) draped banners and what looks to be boughs of holly throughout. Original paint ... moreLooks like bronze. It's mostly brown/black with dulled gold- just see pics for description of color. It's hard for me to get this in words. Mirror has a frame around it that looks riveted. But it's just the casting. With that frame, mirror part is 10 1/2" x 6 1/2" Mirror is just about flawless on the front. And is original. It swivels nicely and stays put straight up and down. It does have tiny holes at each end where it once had some type of peg or nail or tack that you could use to prop it against the outer frame so it wouldn't move. But those are gone. Condition notes: ORIGINAL and UNRESTORED. This is in excellent, usable condition and excellent visual condition, save for some rust on the underside of the base, and on back side of base, doesn't detract. Up for sale is a antique dresser mirror. Has cut lead glass for base measuring 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inch grid cut diamond shaped cut. Mirror is 3 1/2 inches in circumference. When mirror is completely erect it stands 6 inches tall. Back of mirror has metal knuckle that is worn out in places(I think it can be tightened?
