This is a large antique oval gold ornate mirror. The frame is made of wood with carved gesso flowers and bows on the edges. I would gu ess it dates f rom 1910- 1940. It measures 16 1/4" x 22 3/4" It has a pretty art nouveau design. There is a sturdy w ire on the back for hanging. The frame might have been repainted at some time. I can't say for sure. Both Knobs and the Chain is in mint condition. The Frames for the Beveled Mirrors are Oak wood which is in great shape. The one Frame has a knot on the edge that makes this Mirror look really Antique. The Folded Together Mirrors measure 9 1/4 inches tall by 7 7/8 inches wide by about 2 inches deep. These old fancy over mantle mirrors are getting hard to come by and this one is positively beautiful! This fine 19th century mirror features its original mirror which measures 43 1/4 inches high by 47 1/4 inches wide and does show some all over silver dusting as age appropriate but doesn't warrant replacing by no means. This mirror also offers its old original wood plank backing. There are some areas of gesso loss which I have tried to show in the pictures; nothing that takes away from the regal presence this mirror offers in my opinion. This ca. 1845-1860 walnut on pine veneer frame is topped by deeply carved solid walnut crest and measures 38 ½” x 21 3/8” with 28 ¼” x 16 ½” reveal. It is constructed of 1 ½” thick wood and the entire frame appears to retain its original finish under a later coat of varnish. There are mounting holes on the side of the frame and you will note minor shrinkage cracks in the stable veneer which has no obvious loss. This auction is for an older Victorian Era Oval Beveled Edge Wall Mirror from England. This is a very pretty mirror. The frame is what we call ceramic over wood. The frame has wonderful detailing from a master craftsman. It still works and with it's pretty and unique style adds interest and charm anywhere you hang it. The clarity is good for it's age without any cloudiness. There are a few cracks on the frame. Look closely at the pictures. It has the old style wall mounts on the back which have been turned in and a wire has been added for hanging. This is a true Victorian era mirror. I love the oval shape and copper embellishments. Whether or not this is real copper or gilded in copper I am not sure) This is all original- it has a double beveled oval glass with a clear and crisp reflection. It has it's original wood backing and even the original chain. The chain is not broken- it is designed to go over the nail from each side and someone has simply tied the two sides together to make it easier to hang. I believe this to be from the late 1800's. For your consideration is a pair of gold and silver leaf Victorian(mid-19th century) oval gesso and wood mirrors or picture frames. They come with nicely aged mirrors in fair condition that were probably installed in the 1920's. At the same time the frames were refurbished with some gold paint. I used them like they are, but some may wish to put new glass or other pictures or photos in them. They take a rectangular 8x10 piece of glass, art, or photo. The frames could use a bit of touching up, but are passable as they are. Please ask any questions before bidding; these are sold as-is, with no returns. Shipping in the lower 48 is 28.95. This oval mirror is 13 1/2“ by 11 1/2“ overall and has a 9 ½” by 7 ½” mirrored glass area. The deep frame is made of Walnut with an original finish. The mirror has small losses and a few marks and fine scratches. On the frame the old finish has a nice patina with small marks. Scuffs, and dents; cleaning the glass has removed much of the gold trim on the inner edge. Overall it is in good sturdy condition and ready to hang on your wall. This is an Antique Victorian Pair of Gold Leaf Ceramic Wheat Pattern Oval Wall Mirrors with Candle Sconces. 26" x 18.5" Items are in acceptable display and structural condition. Mirror to the left has a crack towards the bottom with some additional damage behind the crack. Mirror to the right has a thin crack at the middle bottom with a small chip on the back of one of the wheat tops. Disclosures are represented well in their own pictures. Both could be easily self repaired with composite and gold leaf that can be found at a craft store. Some people would rather it stay as it is without the repairs done. The candle slots are made of brass and screw into the arms. The entire mirror has metal rods in the ceramic to support the design and patterns. Mirrors have been in my family for 5 to 6 generations. This ornate oval shaped dresser or table mirror is decorated with flowers. Birds and winged cherubs. There is some wear to the cherubs as shown in the photos. The mirror has a beveled edge and has some scratches to the surface. There is also some loss to the silver backing. The frame itself is in great condition with no cracks or breakage to the metal. The bracket or stand is good and works fine. The frame is quite heavy. It measures 17" tall and is 16" wide. This is a very lovely antique framed mirror and would look great restored or left as is.

High Victorian mirror that has been untouched for 120 years. The mirror has blemishes in the silvering but is original. The center of the mirror is clear enough to see yourself, the blemishes are on the edges. The gesso frame is in awesome condition except for some staining from painters. Etc. I love the original patina and would never paint it but it you buy it, you can repaint it and replace the glass for an incredible mirror. If you don't want the glass.
