Antique Victorian Tilting Vanity Mirror, Ornate Floral Metal Frame
This is a gorgeous old Victorian tilting mirror in a larger size. 19” tall, 12” wide. The frame on this is all flowers and Acanthus leaves with a large ornate foot. The metal has an aged patina and the back has an old time worn and stained cover. There are no chips or cracks to the mirror but it is starting to freckle and shows age. This displays beautifully and would be an asset to any Victorian room. The items that I sell are the items I love. This wonderful table or vanity mirror was used on my grandmother's front counter in her antique and jewelry store for many years. The note on the back says"Not for sale for trying on Jewelry only" I will keep that note when this mirror sells. She had two similar ones so I am keeping the other one. This one did break and it is in pieces. Part of her right arm is missing. The finish is flaking off of the base cast iron metal. The height with the base is 17 1/2" The mirror is 5 1/2 by 7 1/2" and the figure is 8" The base has also split and does need repair. It measures about 9 1/2" tall to the top of the center rose, about 10 1/2" across. The mirror measures 7" across by 5" tall and is in wonderful condition with only a few light scratches and some light spotting, none distracting from its beauty! It has a large rose on top with a scroll design around the entire mirror with a few chippy paint areas adding to its Vintage charm. The Backing feels like a stiff cardboard. This is a beautiful vintage metal vanity dresser mirror in the creamy white color. It has gold high lights throughout with tiny petite flowers all around. This is very intricately detailed. It has a nice French look to it. There are some light scratches to the mirror. And some ghosting but nothing that takes away from this. This is a Victorian heavy cast metal vanity mirror with Fleur de Lis design. It stands by itself with folding leg. The oval frame has a beveled glass mirror. It measures about 11" by 10-1/2" It has a very dark patina. I believe it was probably silver plated but the high edges have copper showing. I think it still looks great and is a very unusual design. The reflective material is flaking off as you can see in the pictures. It looks like the mirror may have originally been the vanity type that rotated based on the holes on the side. Hello. You are viewing my auction for an Antique Victorian Ormolu Vanity Set. This is a 7 Piece vanity set with Gilded Gold Metal throughout. This is a STUNNING, MUST HAVE ITEM. This 7 piece set includes a large vanity mirror tray, personal hand mirror, lidded glass jewelry box, 2 small perfume bottles, and 2 large perfume bottles. The large mirror and the personal mirror both have beveled glass mirrors. There are cameo centers throughout all of the perfume bottles. The large vanity mirror tray measures 23" long by 16 and 1/4" wide by 2 and 1/4" deep. The personal hand mirror measures 5" wide by 13 and 3/4" tall by 1/2" thick. The jewelry box measures 11 and 1/4" long by 5 and 1/4" wide by 3 and 3/4" tall. The small perfume bottle measures 7 and 3/4" tall by 3 and 1/4" across at the base. ... moreThe large perfume bottle measures 4 and 3/4" wide by 8" tall by 3" across at the base. The entire set weighs 12.8 pounds. There is one applicator wand broken on the one perfume bottle and there is one glass insert broken on another perfume bottle. The large mirror glass vanity tray has a very fine slight scratch present. It is hard to notice. It is not a surface scratch. There are no other breaks, bends, or repairs present.
