ESTATE FIND Offered for auction from a fine Southern Indiana estate is an Antique Victorian Eastlake Walnut Wall Mirror With Shelf and Patinaed Brass Coat Hooks. It measures 38" wide at its widest point and is 24" high. The mirror itself measures 14" x 9.5" and the shelf is 5" deep. The mirror has been replaced and the patinaed brass coat hooks may or may not be original to the piece. The Eastlake Victorian frame appears to be in excellent vintage condition. We are proud to offer this incredible Victorian shaving stand. Made of Mahogany with burled Walnut inlay. This piece features a swivel mirror and storage drawer, sitting atop a ringed, minimally fluted central column with a wonderfully carved tripod base. The single drawer has an inlaid front and dovetail construction, reinforced by small square nails. There are three small hooks that have been added to the interior of the drawer. There are brass fittings throughout the piece. It is sturdy and stately, and features period detail that is sure to impress. I am offering for auction a beautiful antique Victorian style hanging gingerbread style cut out wooden shaving or vanity wall mirror. I believe this is made out of walnut wood. But can't be 100% sure. This is in good antique condition. I picked this up at a local estate auction. It measures 20" high, 12" wide. The mirror is in excellent condition, no cloudiness or damage whatsoever. The original wooden back is still intact with original hanging wire. Antique / Vintage Black Walnut Bar Mirror
I have an antique or vintage black walnut( I believe) bar mirror. I was told that it is black walnut by the auctioneer. But I'm no wood expert so I can't be sure. I picked this bar mirror up at an antique auction sale that had a beautiful antique solid walnut bar for sale that came from a bar in S.E. Michigan. I didn't get the bar, but I did get the mirror. This mirror is very large and very old. The oxidation on the backside and the great patina on the front will give you an idea on the age of this piece. Looks like late 1800's or early 1900's. The mirror is beveled and the wood is carved on the front. The measurements are 47 inches wide by 36 inches tall. This mirror is very heavy. The mirror glass and frame are in excellent shape, showing only the regular minor wear of an antique. There are some small tears in the backing paper, as seen in the photo. The mirror glass(inner dimensions) measures 11" in. tall by 9 in. wide. The frame measures 13 1/2" tall x 11 1/2" wide and is approximately 1 3/8 in. wide all the way around and 1 in. deep. Antique Painted Folk Art PA Dutch Deep Well Walnut Frame Mirror Tulips Hearts
Up for auction is a wonderful hand painted folk art Pennsylvania Dutch deep well walnut mirror recently found at auction in the Lancaster County PA area. It is found in good used condition and features prominent PA dutch painted tulips and hearts on the inner edge next to the mirror. It features what appears to be original paint with great crackle and alligator appearance. It does not have its original backing so the mirror may be younger than the frame but yet does show signs of age. The mirror measures approx. 8 x 10" with the overall frame outside dimension approx. 15.5" x 13 1/4" It currently is set to hang vertically but could easily be changed to hang on the horizontal. Great in any country or high country setting. The only condition issue to report is a minor scratch to the bottom edge of the frame. Up for auction is this exceptional 19C Walnut and gesso mirror. This is truly a rare find. Mirror measures a large 56 5/8" l x 33 3/8" h x 2" d. It has a three panel wood back. We put a sturdy wire across the back to hang. Of course. This mirror could be mounted either vertical or horizontal. Just an exquisite design with oak leaves and acorns. A stately work of art. Beautiful attention to delicate detail. A rich appearance while being understated. So many large mirrors I have found are either too plain or tend to be- well- a bit garish! This is a nice balance of beauty and great workmanship. As it dates to the 19C, it is not perfect and should not be. Up for sale we have a most attractive Antique Shaving Dresser Mirror. This piece can be used on top of a dresser or any place in the home a beautiful Antique mirror would be appreciated. The mirror is in outstanding condition for a piece from the late 19th century. The base has bun feet and the sides have nicely hand turned finials. The mirror measures 22 tall by 21" wide at the base by 9 1/2" in depth. The mirror itself is 16" tall by 15" wide in its frame. It works beautifully and has its original mounts in excellant shape. It stands up straight and firm with no wobbling. There are three spots on the base that have veneer chips(see pictures) There are a couple of surface scratches on the back covering that can be easily touched up. Antique Oval Wooden Mirror Walnut Mahogany
Here is an antique oval mirror. Mirrored glass is not beveled. The wood is dark. Maybe walnut or mahogany. It does seem to have stain on it. Some rough spots along the edge, and one small chip. But the carved wooden frame is still lovely, and the glass is not scratched, cracked or chipped. The way the back is finished makes me think this was a picture frame that someone turned into a mirror. 15 3/4 inches by 12 3/4 inches, and the wooden frame is about 1 1/2 thick. On the front is a multiple bevel edge on the solid walnut lid that opens to reveal a storage area for your goodies. It has a couple of small veneer chips on the face of the box. But overall it is in good condition. It is 26 inches across the base, 9 inches deep, 27 inches high to the mirror and 4 inches high on the storage box. To give you an idea, the size of the looking glass is 15 inches wide by 22 inches high on the original glass that has some streakiness, which provides charm and character. Antique Mirror Nice antique mirror. The beveled mirror has a little fading to the silvering but not bad. I did not notice any blisters or black spots. The frame is very solid and the carving is in great condition, The edges have some bad scratches from someone sliding it on a floor. Original back is not perfect but still good. Not hangers on the back, it had couple crappy screws and a piece of copper wire, I removed them so the buyer could install proper hangers. Dimensions: 27 1/4" wide x 25 1/4" tall x 2" thick including the back and the carving. Weighs 20lbs. Shipping weight will be apx 30lbs. This ca. 1845-1860 walnut on pine veneer frame is topped by deeply carved solid walnut crest and measures 38 ½” x 21 3/8” with 28 ¼” x 16 ½” reveal. It is constructed of 1 ½” thick wood and the entire frame appears to retain its original finish under a later coat of varnish. There are mounting holes on the side of the frame and you will note minor shrinkage cracks in the stable veneer which has no obvious loss. Antique Walnut Framed Mirror / Walnut Frame
This is an antique walnut frame that has had a mirror put in. The walnut wood is deep set with two different bevels. The walnut wood is all good. The gold gilt part also has two beveled sections. The gold gilt has some discoloration. The mirror does have a few scratches. The mirror is heavy and is not beveled. The entire frame measures approximately 16" by 14" The mirror/ insert part measures about 12 1/4" by 10 1/4" The frame can be shipped without the mirror and the shipping will be adjusted.
