3 ANTIQUE VINTAGE CAST IRON & GLASS BALL FURNITURE CLAW FEET
Up for auction are 3 antique/vintage cast iron claw feet for furniture. I am not a subject matter expert. they come from the estate of an elderly couple and could have belonged to one of their parents. Not sure of their history! They are claw shaped and have a glass ball. Each measures about 3 3/8" long and 1 1/8" across the opening. There is one hole on the side but no screws. They are a rusty orange color. not sure if that is original or they were painted that way. there is some of that color on the glass balls. They look to be in good vintage condition but one glass has a fracture(I tried to show it in photo 2) Please email with any questions and thanks for looking!

It measures app.30 ½” tall x 25” wide with an interior reveal of 28” x 20 ½” If you note the photos of the corners from the back, you will see that there are slide joints at the bolts that should allow for up to 1” additional width if it is needed. It cannot be made narrower as pictured. The frame is free of cracks, repairs, breaks and losses and retains a worn, pleasant used original gold painted surface. Here we have an amazing cast iron fireplace surround complete with frame and door. It came from a home built in 1901 and mantle it was with was dated 1901 on the builders label. As you can see it has an incredible Outdoor Scene with deer and a 12 point buck and other very ornate detail. Vintage Cast Iron Solid and HEAVY Fireplace Irons Tools With Stand NICE
These REALLY look like brass. But a magnet sticks to everything, so I am assuming it is cast iron. They are at least from the 70's, because they were in my Mothers house for at least that long. They are very heavy, and solid. Of course, there is some slight surface rust and signs of age, but no damage or abuse to call. I think they will clean up beautifully! The poker is a little bent, but nothing that cannot be straightened if it bothered you. The stand's handle unscrews, from the base, so I will separate it for shipping. That should just about do it! This circa 1820 clean-out door was installed about 10" below a Bake Oven Door. The interior of the bake oven hand an ash dump in the floor of the oven which went down to a chamber below. This door covered that chamber and could be opened to retrieve(for soap making) or dump out the accumulated ash. For sale is an old antique cast iron or iron fireplace front surround. This item was removed from an house in Saint Louis City. Most of the houses were build in the early 1900's and late 1800's. This item does have wear from age. Paint peelings, and scratches. It could use painting and does have surface rust(See pictures) There are no cracks that I can see. During the 18th-19th century. Boiling apples in large kettles to produce cider was very popular especially on estates with large apple orchards. This example dating from the mid 1800's is made of copper and measures 15" high with a 25" diameter and also comes with the rarely seen hand forged iron tripod base(NOTE: the kettle is approx. 22" high when on stand without handle in upright position) The kettle shows dovetailed construction and has a hand forged handle that is attached to kettle using copper rivits. You can easily see the hammer marks left from the blacksmith who made these works of art many years ago. Here in the U.S.A. If you are comparison shopping. Please note that these andirons are HAND FORGED and not made by machine. The hammer marks left by the Blacksmith reveal this remarkable difference. If you see silky smooth wrought iron andirons, they are not hand-forged. If you are a collector, then this information is very important and makes the item far more valuable than any machine made set of andirons. I purchased these for our home as we have 4 fireplaces but the one fireplace where I need them is not particularly tall and so these are the wrong ... morescale. Too big for my small fireplace. I imagine seeing these versatile andirons in a fireplace on an episode of This Old House, or even in a beautiful fireplace in an adobe home in the southwest. For those of you who appreciate and love antiques, this is a rare find. I've seen hand-forged andirons for sale, but these are exceptional in my opinion. They are tall and majestic in appearance. The short ones don't look nearly as special. I love the curled feet and I picture the blacksmith working the metal to create these lovely andirons, which are now antiques. Hessian Soldier Andirons, Cast Iron
These are cast iron. Hession Soldier Andirons. I am not certain of the age but do know they were in my grandparents house in the late 50's so they are at least 60 years old, likely older. The soldiers stand 20" tall and are 20.5" front to back(the back legs are approx 19" long and welded to the back of the soldier) It appears someone attempted to repaint these but since they have looked like this since the late 50's, it was done sometime prior to that. Other than the paint, they are in very good condition, no cracks or breaks that I can see. Unfortunately due to the weight, I am offering these for local pick-up only. They are located in Randolph. Large Fire Wagon Vehicle Cast Iron with rotating front wheels
This piece is about 14 inches long and 8.5 inches high at the highest point. The front wheels for the carriage rotate entirely around and have hooks. Presumably for the horses(not available) There is also a moving bell on the wagon. It looks like it could be a restored antique. But I am no expert. It could also be a modern reproduction. Looks hand-made, with no identifying marks. It was part of my late uncle's collection, and thus its history is unknown and its origins cannot be guaranteed. No returns.

Fireplace front measures approx 30 1/2" x 24 3/4" Rear insert sections measures approx 27 1/2" x 21" Fireplace is in very good condition showing the expected signs of wear for an item of its age. Cast iron was lightly cleaned and the asbestos was removed from the interior and properly disposed of. Five of the screws/bolts holding the front cast iron sections are not original to the piece. We are pleased to offer this very nice. Antique to older vintage, fireplace fireback with stand. This wonderful, Art Deco designed piece features heavy cast iron construction. There are two large ancient Greek or Roman warriors, both on horses/steeds, and in apparent battle. The scene is completed with wisps of textural clouds above. All of the intricate designs are done in a very dimensional, repousse, fashion. The top is also finished to look like clouds so the screen is quite unique with the top not being uniform on each side. The finish is black with silver highlights throughout. It is very heavy and is approximately 1/2" thick. The stand features two separate pieces and is not fixed to the screen. Vtg Cast Iron Fireplace Andirons Brass Finish Large. These andirons are the same ones that were in my parent's(non-working) fireplace in the 1950s. They have probably been stored in the attic more than they were displayed. They have never seen a real log! Measures about 17 inches tall and with the arms( I forget what they're called) are about 16.5 inches deep. Marked L and R and the fronts are stamped 1351 I think and the arms are stamped 1129 again. I think. I can't make the numbers out very well. Very heavy they weigh almost 9 lbs. ea. No damage other than dirt. Dust and rust. for more great items! Previously owned but shows no signs of ever having burning logs atop them. this set of 2 Classic styled FirePlace ANDIRONS. Measures 18 1/2" height x 13" overall length x 7 1/2" width(foot to foot) The brass finial is actually 4 pieces as shown in photo#6. And is not a solid piece(hollowed out inside) The cast iron body section is hollowed out as well. The body attaches to the 1/8" cast iron legs which attach to the 5/8" x 1/2" wrought iron shank. With logs placed atop the Andiron shank. Will raise the firewood 3 3/4" off the fireplace floor. A lighter weight set, weighing 3 1/2" pounds each. If you intend to use these for more than just fireplace decor, I would suggest that you use a cooler burning wood- definitely not Hickory which burns extremely hot.
