It is in very good condition. With some bits of gesso gone, and a few that have been silver retouched, please see photos. It is a good size for anywhere in the home. It is 24 by 18 1/2“ approx. with clear mirror. The thing that makes this mirror a bit different is the oval inner frame around the mirror. This is 4 pieces of tile that surround the mirror. The tiles are gold and silver grey. It adds a lot of drama to the piece, and I’ve never seen this in a 20's gesso mirror. Antique Vintage Silver Shaving Mirror Stand
Up for sale is an antique shaving mirror obtained from an estate sale. I believe it's made of silver. But I can find no markings to confirm this. However, it seems to have the properties of silver. Magnets are not attracted to the metal, and when buffed with baking soda and water black tarnish marks come off on the cleaning cloth. The stand is adjustable. I have not tried to adjust the height. But it has a screw for doing so. It currently stands about 18" tall. The mirror is about 5.5" in diameter, or 6.25" if you include the frame of the mirror. The base is 5.5" in diameter. The mirror rotates 360 degrees. I am throwing in a plastic cup and shaving brush. But they are by no means original to the mirror. They will do for display but are not accurate to the time period. Old Beveled Edge Mirror Antique Vintage Frame Glass Silver
Up for bid is a very old antique mirror. I got it about 40 years ago out of an old building and it looked just as old then as it does now. The glass is bevel edged. The frame is some type of hardwood. The silver backing has deteriorated some. But I believe it would be worth it to have it re-silvered but I liked it just the way it is. It has a separate wooden back panel that can be removed by removing 4 screws. There is a little smear of white paint in a couple of places on the frame but I didn't try to remove that. You can still see your reflection in the mirror ok, the condition of the silvering just makes the mirror appear as if it is a little dirty on the outside. The frame is 22-1/2" wide, 24-1/2" tall, and 2" thick. The total weight is about an ounce and a half shy of 11 pounds. The wood on the frame around the mirror ... moreis 1-5/8" wide. This is a lovely round petite mirror for a vanity or bureau. Overall dimensions 7" wide and 8" tall. There is slight wearing to the silver plate which gives it a lovely patina. Very Handsome. Rare Carved French Mirror This heavy mirror boasts a carved. Gilded(silver and gold) wood(not resin) frame of rare design with piercings. In the French style: a t the top of the mirror is a cameo(perhaps hand-painted porcelain) with a romantic scene in the manner of Limoges. There is a lovely floral design etched into the glass in the upper left and right-hand corners of the mirror. This mirror has been in our family since the 1930/1940's; It could be older than this time period. The back of the mirror still bears most of the original manufacturers/retail label(Conroy-Frugh Mirror Co. Pittsburg, PA) this company was established in 1883. Condition: overall very good. Vintage Silver Plate Plateau Mirror Stand This stand has a mirrored base. The mirror is underneath glass and the rest is metal. The feet are nicely designed and it is very sturdy. It can be used for anything where a stand is needed(pies. Cakes, collectibles, statuary, or even a houseplant) The metal rim has a makers mark that reads F.S. CO Quadruple with an Eagle Head logo. The black backing on the underside is flaking off with age. Either the glass cover is streaked or the mirror underneath is. Large. Vintage 900 silver frame with beveled mirror and a burgundy/rose velvet backing and stand. The silver is in very good condition- some minor dings. But nothing these also look like they are part of the design. There are no breaks and it's marked"900" and"U76" at the top. The velvet is in equally nice shape with almost no wear. The mirror has one tiny spot where the silvering is gone; this could be replaced by glass so this could be used as a frame. The silver is attached with several small nails and this just needs to be removed to replace the mirror. The whole thing measures 13 1/4" high by 10 1/4" wide. This is a Vintage Art Deco Personal Hand Mirror made from a Silver Type Metal. There are Raised Floral Designs throughout this Heavy and Stunning mirror. I'm unsure of the exact type of metal this mirror was made from. This mirror weighs 1.6 pounds and measures 9 and 1/2" tall by 5" wide by 5/8" thick. This item is in excellent condition with no breaks. Bends, or repairs present, however there is a tiny ding in the glass by the bottom towards the center along the rim of the glass. This defect is hardly noticeable, and doesn't take away from any of the mirrors beauty. It has a lovely look to it, with a timeless appeal.
