The white striated turtle shaped beveled edge marble top is original and is in wonderful antique condition with only some light stains and scratches as common with old marble.The marble rests on a walnut conforming table apron with carved drop accents on each side and the table is raise up on four wide out-swept carved walnut legs with elegant raised carvings of fancy plumage on both sides of each leg. And pierced carvings at the knees with a substantial turned walnut pedestal at the center with a drop finial. This 19th century table is quality made. The carvings and details on this piece are absolutely fabulous! We can confidently attribute this outstanding Etagere to George W. Ware and Company. Boston, Massachusettes. The top of this wonderful Etagere is graced with a magnificent pierced carved crown adorned with massive fruits and nuts. Carved scrolls, a grape cluster, along with leaf and foliate carvings and pierced scrolled work. This glorious crown sits upon the substantial arc-shaped bonnet top which provides the perfect introduction to the large oval mirror. This large oval mirror is encased in beautiful picture-frame moulding and appears to be original. Plenty of display opportunity is found on the eight graduated scalloped display surfaces as well as on the larger center white marble top display area above the serpentine bottom drawer. ESTATE FIND Offered for auction from a fine Southern Indiana estate is an Antique Victorian Eastlake Walnut Wall Mirror With Shelf and Patinaed Brass Coat Hooks. It measures 38" wide at its widest point and is 24" high. The mirror itself measures 14" x 9.5" and the shelf is 5" deep. The mirror has been replaced and the patinaed brass coat hooks may or may not be original to the piece. The Eastlake Victorian frame appears to be in excellent vintage condition. Antique Victorian Mahogany and Walnut Shaving Stand Brass Fittings Swivel Mirror
We are proud to offer this incredible Victorian shaving stand. Made of Mahogany with burled Walnut inlay. This piece features a swivel mirror and storage drawer, sitting atop a ringed, minimally fluted central column with a wonderfully carved tripod base. The single drawer has an inlaid front and dovetail construction, reinforced by small square nails. There are three small hooks that have been added to the interior of the drawer. There are brass fittings throughout the piece. It is sturdy and stately, and features period detail that is sure to impress. The stand has a total height of 67" The counter height from the floor is 40 1/2" The center storage compartment is 16" by 11" The generous mirror is 18" across. FINE Walnut VICTORIAN Renaissance PIER Mirror GOLD Gilt BURL Inlay 3 DAY LISTING
Up for bids is this wonderful antique Victorian Pier Mirror or Hall Mirror. I believe it's from the Renaissance Period 1870s to 1890s. Very large size and heavy. Measures approximately 80" tall and 24" wide. At the widest point at the top crown. The side frame depth measures 2-3/4" but the top stands out approx. 8" It has inlay Burl wood and loads of Gold Gilt to the scroll work. The walnut finish is totally even in color. Some of the pics show it lighter towards the bottom. This is due to a spotlight shining on it so I could take descent photos of it. The backside has the wooden planks covering the mirror. I do not know if the mirror is original, it's in excellent condition. The marble base is missing. This piece is in great condition showing only very minor wear to the back corner edges, really not worth mentioning. ... moreThis is a pick up only item and only a 3 day listing. The mirror glass and frame are in excellent shape, showing only the regular minor wear of an antique. There are some small tears in the backing paper, as seen in the photo. The mirror glass(inner dimensions) measures 11" in. tall by 9 in. wide. The frame measures 13 1/2" tall x 11 1/2" wide and is approximately 1 3/8 in. wide all the way around and 1 in. deep. Antique Mirror Nice antique mirror. The beveled mirror has a little fading to the silvering but not bad. I did not notice any blisters or black spots. The frame is very solid and the carving is in great condition, The edges have some bad scratches from someone sliding it on a floor. Original back is not perfect but still good. Not hangers on the back, it had couple crappy screws and a piece of copper wire, I removed them so the buyer could install proper hangers. Eastlake Victorian Mirror--Original 19th C Handcarved Walnut--Ornate--BEAUTIFUL!
This is an astonishing ornate Eastlake Victorian mirror from the 19th century. It is in all original condition. The condition being very very good. The glass mirror itself has no blackening. It has a couple minor scratches. The glass is framed with a plaster and gold guilt surrounding. There is some of the plaster showing through. This can easily be restored if you don't like the patina. The wood is different shadings of walnut and is decoratively carved with various markings. The pillars on either side seem to have a varnish on them and some of the varnish is coming off. This you can see in the last picture. The back is all solid original wood with an old wire hanger. The mirror as a whole measures 24 X 46 inches and is heavy and sturdy. 3 antique mirrors for the price of one! Guaranteed Victorian era antiques. Middle one looks like walnut. The other 2 are quarter sawn oak. Nice patina across the board. Well made mitered corners. Walnut frame has a raised ridge along the glass and criss crossed at each corner. Round rings carved at each corner with a center bullseye of textured brass? Mirror has deep bevelling all around. The other 2 have nice tiger striping but no bevelling of glass. Oak frames have nice bevelling to the frames themselves, around glass. All have original wood backings intact. Walnut one measures approx. 33 inches by 27 inches. Large oak measures approx. 33 1/4 by 26 1/2 inches. Antique Eastlake Victorian Walnut Carved Mirror Shelf
I had this previously listed. However, when I went to pack it up, I noticed damage on the left side next to the mirror. The transaction was cancelled, so here we have it again. It is in the last picture. This is a gorgeous old mirror shelf. I would guess it was for the bedroom, but not sure. It is all in good shape, measures 19 inches tall and 14.5 inches wide. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN WALNUT DRESSING TABLE DRESSER TILT ARCH TOP MIRROR
Please scroll down under this description for 34 additional views. 19th century antique dressing table mirror. 23" wide across the base, 22 1/2" tall, 8" deep base. The mirror which has a gently arched top is 13 3/4" wide and 17" high. The mirror frame is veneered with a slight convex surface. The mirror supports are solid wood with rope turnings over a stacked round base and are topped with turned finials. There are three simple feet under the bombe front base. The top surface and side are veneered- lovely figuring to the walnut veneer on the top surface. I am not sure if this is the original finish but I think it is- it shows some faint alligatoring and has wonderful rich color. There is an area of veneer loss on the far left end of the base and a little ding on the back of the base behind the mirror support. A ... morebit of wood is missing from one of the supports- it's on the back side and won't be noticed. The mirror has some tiny black spots on the surface- more prevalent and noticeable on the edges. The finish has some marks and scratches but I think perfectly acceptable for the age of the piece. This is a nice antique solid wood framed wall mirror with carved floral accents on the crest and upper corners. And a wide bevel all the way around the mirror. The mirror is sturdy, solid, and heavy. The wood is walnut or oak with a very dark slightly glossy finish, the finish is probably not original, but is in good condition with some scuffs, scratches, and minor chipping, mainly along corners and edges. The glass looks very good, but there are a few areas of light spottiness in the silver. Images are crystal clear throughout. The lines that appear on the glass in the photos are a reflection and are not actually visible on the glass. There is a wooden panel over the back and the hanging wire is intact. This is a beautiful walnut hand carved mirror. The glass of the mirror is wavy. Very old, not in perfect condition but still reflects. The surrounding frame is hand carved flowers, leaves and a shield at the top. There is a wire for hanging on the back. The nails holding on the back panel are small square nails. There are some bits missing and I tried to photo some of those. The most noticeable is on the upper left looking at the mirror. This is essentially a multi-grooming station since it has a movable towel bar, two candle holders flank the mirror, applied wood turnings across the top and a single rosette by the hat pin cushions. Also has a receptacle area to hold a brush or comb. Made of solid walnut and damage free, the mirror has plenty of silver loss as shown in the photos. There are two wires on the back for hanging flush to the wall or a longer wire to tilted away from the wall. Measures 12" across at the widest point by 23" long. ONE OF A KIND Victorian Eastlake Walnut Carved Wall Mirror With Folding Doors
Hi folks. OK. So tell me where you have EVER seen a mirror so beautiful? This listing is for this one of a kind mirror, which, to be honest, we don't care if it sells or not! I just picked the real beauty out of a great local estate up in the attic. The amazing thing to me here is that there is NO damage to be found! Usually I always seem to find a break in the carvings somewhere. Not here! Even the mirror itself is perfect with no scratches to be found in the silver. I will tell you this mirror had about an inch of dust all over. I quickly rubbed it down, but my pics may show more. I find it and sell it. You clean it. You will need a good stud in your wall as this is heavy. I'm guessing an easy 50 pounds. I just put the two hangers on back so at least that's done for you. It measures a whopping 32" X 53" It measures ... moreapprox 1 1/8" thick. Very solid. Doors and hinges in excellent working condition. It appears the outter frame is all pegged. You simply will maybe never see anything Like this again. I am placing a buy it now on this basing it on size, rarity, design, and appeal. Its a sure beauty. This can be picked up free of charge here at my location, OR, once it is sold and paid for, I will take to my UPS store to have professionally packed, insured, and shipped.
