I have not cleaned this set. Rather leaving it up to the buyer to clean it to their liking. Since this silver is very soft. Most sets are dinged and dented and this one is not all banged up. The mirror is 13 inches long and 4 inches wide. The brush is 10 inches long and 3 inches wide and still has the words Nylon an d USA showing between the brush bunches. This appears to not have been used or used very very little. The comb is 7 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. The Covered dish is 3 inches in dia meter. There is no damage to either the glass dish or the silver cover. All pieces are in very good condition for the age. The soft silver is not all dented and dinged and that makes it even nicer. The makers marks are totally clear on both of the larger pie ces.

Vintage Vanity Set This is how I found this lovely set displayed on a dressing table at an estate sale. The framed mirror with children pictured is near perfect. The mirror tray with the Victorian Lady has some wear and a little loss to the silvering on the mirror. There is light discoloration, the picture of the lady is very good. Dispite age and wear this is nice. I think the aging it gives it character. I am guessing this to be from the 1930's or 40's? The tools are metal with minor wear to the goldtone. The tools are a shoe horn, tweezers,file and nail cleaner. The comb is plastic with goldtone metal trim. No missing teeth. Vintage / Antique Wooden Framed Vanity Flanking Mirror Set
Description- Offered for auction a wonderful estate sale found vintage/ antique pair of flanking vanity wooden framed beveled glass mirrors. Measuring approx. 23 inches tall by just under 8 1/2 inches wide and 15/16 ths of an inch thick at side edge profile. These have had the original mercury backing removed from thick beveled glass and backed with modern plate mirror to fix bad or deteriorating mercury. The frames still have the original hinge screw holes and each are buttoned up using cardboard backing stapled into refinished wooden frames. This is a very rare mis 19th century antique silver-plated vanity fob set including a compact box. A vanity mirror, and a trinket box. it is a very ornate set with extremely intricate detailing and nice patina from age. All pieces are connected to beautiful circle linked chains which all connect to a silver-plated ring. The vanity mirror slides open to expose the hidden beveled mirror inside and shuts closed. the face cover of the mirror is of very ornate flowers and a detailed dragon wrapping the edge, they are done in very high relief. the compact box is in the shape of a shell and beautifully ribbed. The box opens and closes on a hinge and snaps tightly. inside is a beautiful silk. And feather applier with a carved ox bone circular handle, inside the lid is also a vanity mirror. the box is equally as detailed and in the shape of a mail ... morebag, it also opens and closes on a hinge and snaps tightly. They were purchased at an estate sale some time ago. Both pieces appear in very good condition with minor. Normal wear. The large mirror and the personal mirror both have beveled glass mirrors. There are cameo centers throughout all of the perfume bottles. The large vanity mirror tray measures 23" long by 16 and 1/4" wide by 2 and 1/4" deep. The personal hand mirror measures 5" wide by 13 and 3/4" tall by 1/2" thick. The jewelry box measures 11 and 1/4" long by 5 and 1/4" wide by 3 and 3/4" tall. The small perfume bottle measures 7 and 3/4" tall by 3 and 1/4" across at the base. ... moreThe large perfume bottle measures 4 and 3/4" wide by 8" tall by 3" across at the base. The Perfume bottle and the jewelry casket each have a flower on top.The gold is probably not as bright as it once was, but that happens with age.
