Antique Victorian Metal Tri Folding Triptych Beveled Mirror 1888 Art Nouveau This antique Triptych. Tri folding mirror was patented in 1888 and would of most likely been used from 1890 to 1915. It's a really old triptysh used for shaving. Everything is original on this metal framed folding mirror, including a rare handle built on and very well fix ed. On the back of each mirror there's a lincrusta paper who look like leather. It's an art nouveau decoration with an embossed Lincrusta floral motif. However there's a color variation on each of the embossed coverings. It is made to hang on the wall or set on a dresser or vanity free standing. There are three mirrors that are beveled in metal frames. The mirrors themselves. Have silver loss, ghosting with spots and stains, as I show for a great vintage look. When folded closed, there is a clasp on the side, and the top has a gorgeous cream colored celluloid cover with a woman or Goddess sitting in a tree with petite flowers and holding a musical instrument. Above her is a precious cherub with wings. There are some minor spots or discoloration. There is a chain hanger ... moreto hang on the wall. The back is plain celluloid with some minor stains, and has loosened from the bottom of the frame a little. Someone added velcro to the bottom to protect the wall and the two corner felt pieces have fallen off that were added. Perfect anywhere in your home with any shabby chic, French country or romantic cottage decor. Measurements are about 31 1/2" long with opened flat. It is about 12 1/2" tall when standing. Each of the framed mirrors is about 10" by 10" It weighs about 5 pounds. Buyer to pay shipping and insurance of $16.00 with UPS to the lower 48 states. If it comes out less. Beautiful Antique Etched Tri-Fold Vanity Mirror Measures 15.75" tall by 22.5" wide with side panels opened. There are clips all around to hold the mirror to its backing. Condition is very good. All the clips and hinges are tight, no chips or cracks. There are spots behind the glass and darkness and cloudiness, no damage to the etching. Not perfect, but not expected to be and nice that way.
