Small Primitive Vintage Wall Mount Wood Shaving Mirror Towel Bar Brass Accents O.K. I took a hike out to one of my favorite dealers. He has one of those buildings that is packed inside and out with generations of auctions and estate sales, you know what I mean, the kind of place that makes you slam on the breaks when you see it. 99% of the time he’s NOT open, but he’ll open if you ask him and he has the time. He has a fabulous variety and an eye for the unusual and wacky, so shopping there is Maureen’s heaven. There’s so much to choose from this week– advertising, signs, primitives, medical, and antiques galore– you don’t want to miss! I still have items from the dealer who closed, and the flea market too– yikes! I’ve got to get to work! Here's a lovely old piece for you! It's small enough to fit just about anywhere. And perfect for ... moreanytime you want a quick peek to see how you look! It's a shaving mirror- intended to mount on the wall with two brass hooks at the top for doing so. The mirror has a fancy brass frame, and then it has a fancy brass decorative piece on either side, and brass toppers for the ends of the towel bar dowels in the front. Made of solid wood, it measures 11 5/8" widest which is at the bottom, 8" tallest from the center top to the bottom of either side and 2 1/2" deep from the back to the brass points of the front towel rod dowels. The towel bar, made for a small hand towel, measures 8 3/4" wide on the inside and is 1/4" diameter. The shaving mirror measures 2 3/4" square, mirror alone. At the backside, you can see a covering that looks to be an old black textured paper- that's not paint that's black, it's the paper. The paper is in good condition overall but has lots of air bubbles that you can see in my photos 13-15. There's some holes in the paper; at the bottom half where the screw bottoms from the dowels push through, and there's some chips and rips to the edges of the paper but it's stuck on strong- with only small spots

Antique Primitive Shaving Mirror in Wood Wall Hanging Towel Bar
This antique primitive shaving mirror and towel bar rack belonged to a couple that married in the early 1900's. There are no manufacturer's marks and it was likely hand-crafted. It is s olid wood(looks like oak grain) The backer board is a rough cut and about 1/4 inch thick. Overall measurements are 16 1/2" wide x 15" high x 3" deep on the bottom. The storage well is 11" across and about 1 1/2" deep. It has a r ectangular mirror with an exposed surface of about 14 x 5” that appears original. Mirror has lots of age blemishes and a chipped corner. The t owel bar on the bottom is 1/2 inch in diameter. There is are nail holes in the top on each side where a wire was strung to mount the rack to the wall. Local pick-up is ok. I believe my father started refinishing this piece as it is stripped. Antique Vintage Victorian Eastlake Double Towel Bar with Mirror
This item is in excellent condition with no missing or broken parts. It has a beautiful hand craved pediment on top with a double towel bar. It is made from solid wood. No veneer and it is nice and tight with no loose joints. The mirror is in good condition, but is not original to the piece. It measures 14" high, 19 1/2" wide and 4 1/4" deep.
