Tea Table features nice deep color and grain pattern. With a scalloped skirt resting on four cabriole legs with slight carving to knees, with protective hard rubber foot terminal ending. There are no candle slides on this model. Construction is rock solid steady with stamped markings underneath, but no maker name, could be any one of several small factories making colonial reproductions of good quality well before the internet and big box store days. Glue blocks on corners undererneath are nice and sound. This is all solid wood, not a cheap chip board foreign mahogany lookalike with sprayed laquer finish that looks garish in person! Condition Report: Slight rub mark to leg as shown. Small burn mark on top. General wear and tear of a used piece. But not abuse; I will clean it up before pickup as I do with all my dealer furniture to presentation quality ready for your home. This ornate gilt over solid mahogany mirror is in excellent condition. There is only one small scuff on the lower right corner. Dimensions: 24" x 43" tall. As the pictures show. The glass is very old, and shows signs of some fogging, which only adds to the'antique' appearance. This fogging has been exaggerated by the flash on the camera, it really is not as obvious as it appears in the photos. The frame is solid mahogany with a thin mahogany back to protect the glass. NEW PRICE Antique Mahogany Arts and Crafts Style Free-Standing Mirror with Inlay
This is a handy table-top mirror made of mahogany with two lighter woods inlaid around the frame. It has some simple carving that adds interest but is not terribly ornate. There are two circles within a circle. One at each side of the bottom of the frame and an indent that arcs around the majority of the mirror and two smaller indents at the bottom of the frame. The frame is mounted on a carved wooden post accented with a darker stain and gold accenting. The base itself is carved as an elevated circle within a circle. The bottom of the base is covered in brown felt, to prevent scratching your furniture. There is also darker stain accenting around the mirror itself, which gives the appearance of layers of matting, similar to a framed piece of artwork. I would say that due to the simplicity of this piece it could be used by either a man or ... morewoman as it is neither too masculine or feminine in design. It is static and does not rotate as many of these do. The back is covered in a plain piece of mahogany and can be removed to replace the mirror. The mirror is in very good antique condition, showing very little evidence of age. There are a few tiny dark spots and some streaking which are only visible when the mirror is positioned just right and do not interfere with the use of the mirror. I don't know much about antique mirrors but they do seem to deteriorate over time. If these slight imperfections bother you, the mirror can be replaced with a new one. The wood is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. The dimensions of the framed mirror are: 18 1/2" tall by 9 1/2" wide with a base diameter of 6" Please check out the photos as they are an important part of the description.
