It does have some scratches on the mirror which I am sure is from how old it is. The leather on the backside is hardened from age. There are no cracks or breaks and it has a wonderful bevelling in the mirror which is very hard to picture accurately. It is 8 1/2" across and is about an 1" tall. It is pretty heavy.
