This is a very vibrant red mirror with chinoiserie decorations and gilt accents. It is a very beautiful color and size. I don't think the mirror has the orginal backing and don't know if it has the original mirror. If you do some research it looks like they had a cloth backing over the wood. It does have the wire on the back for hanging.There are some small areas that are marked up but overall the mirror is in nice condition for its age.There are 2 metal brackets on the wood frame which you can see in the pictures of the back of the mirror. We are pleased to offer this beautiful vintage wall mirror. The mirror features a gorgeous wood(not synthetic) frame which consists of a series of"C" scrolls. The frame is gilded on the raised areas with a deep. Brownish red color on the recessed areas. It has a series of vertical, Corinthian columns on the interior section, surrounding the glass. The columns are wrapped in drapery. The mirror is Italian Florentine with Baroque style. It is in good condition with only very minor evidence of age. The glass is good with no chips or cracks. The mirror is heavy for its size. There is wire on the back for hanging. This is a very classic mirror with timeless design. The frame is 38.5" tall and is 17.5" wide. Vintage Art Deco ITALIAN Plaster RED & Gold Decorative Mirror c1930s As Found
Here is a vintage. Almost antique, heavy plaster decorative Italian mirror. It measures 14 x 22 ins. is in fair as is vintage condition with a crack in the plaster at the bottom left, other minor chips, a bit of re-paint. This is unmarked, but definitely Italian( have sold many before) and has a style no. 343 on the back.It is painted a brick red, has some dark gold trim paint and some dark green accent paint at the bottom. This is quite heavy, still very solid.I would date this to the 1930s time period. Perfect for Art Deco. Italian, European, and 1920-30s decors. Any questions.
