Antique Bradley & Hubbard Ornate Cast Iron Bronzed Bacchus Mirror Frame
Antique ornate cast iron bronzed mirror frame depicting the head of the Greek God Bacchus. The rest of the frame is a tremendous amount of work in the Art Nouveau style. This has the original formed tin sheet that is the backing to hold the mirror in the frame. There is no mirror. A replacement will be required and can be acquired at any glass and mirror shop in almost all towns and cities. They are inexpensive. This is marked B&H, and has a bronze ring to hang it with. Manufactured around 1870. It is almost identical to an easel bronze Bacchus bronze mirror frame I have listed as well. But the easel mirror frame is not marked. Both were acquired from the same estate and they were used as a set, one on a parlour table, the other hanging above it. The two bottom corners of this piece have no feet as does the easel frame, and less flourish ... moreon these two corners. It is impossible to tell if this was manufactured this way as part of this set, or if an early owner had it customized this way to hang above the easel frame in my other listing. A very beautiful example of early cast iron and bronze guilding. This piece is 14.25" tall. And 9.5" wide, and heavy. Payment by PayPal only- No eChecks. Great antique victorian ornate cast iron beveled glass mirror
Beautiful ornate scrolled victorian cast iron mirror with beveled glass. With darkened gold color. Stands about 13 inches tall by about 9 inches wide. Has a beautiful scrolled easel stand. The back of the mirror has a metal plate that is held on with four swivel bars- the bottom one is stuck in the open position down inbetween the frame and the back- I did not attempt to move it. Stamped on the top back I think with the number 1040- hard to read, for a makers mark. Only flaw is a chip on the mirror on the lower left bevel, which doesn't affect the clarity of the mirror, which has some light surface scratches due to age and wear, and I see only a little discoloration/silver loss on the lower right beveled edge, and some tiny spots here and there. Really pretty example of an old victorian mirror in nice shape for its age, with fancy easel ... morestand. Please ask any other questions. Up for auction is this vintage large dresser/desk mirror. With gold tone finish, ornate cast iron work. The mirror is beveled, does have some aging spots. The only marking I see is the#7362 on the frame. There is one wire hook missing on the back that holds the mirror in place- could be replaced easily. The measurements of the mirror are- 5.5 inches by 8.25 inches, the frame is 12.5 inches by 9.25 inches. The piece weighs 3.5 pounds. I will only ship within the US.

This auction is for a really awesome Bradley and Hubbard nickle plated cast iron mirrored 3 arm sconce. This piece is beautifully ornate and in really nice condition. The piece measures about 16" long and about 9" wide. The iron work is incredible. With scrolls and East lake style sconce arms. At the top is a portrait of Bachcus, the Roman God of wine and intoxication. The nickle plating is in excellent condition and most of these that you see are in a brass finish. I have taken pictures with and without a flash. The first are it's true color and the others look gold but are there just to show better detail. The mirror is in nice condition for it's age with only a little light spotting near the top. The sconce arms are a bit loose and may need a different screw to hold them tighter to the piece. This lovely vintage mirror stands 13 inches tall and is 9 1/2 inches wide at the base. I believe it to be cast iron. Definitely some type of heavy metal. It has natural patena and has no breakage in the mirror itself. It features a coin/jewelry scoop in the front which does show some rusting. Up for bid is an antique Cast Iron Iron Art Vanity/Dresser Mirror. It stands 16 tall x 9 wide. The mirror is framed in a floral cast iron frame. The framed mirror tilts. Too. The mirror is present but it has spotting here and there. The mirror can be easily removed if you want to replace it. The cast iron is a creamy white color. There are a couple of splotches of white paint in 2 spots to the left of the top on the cast iron. There is some rust on the base. Some minor chipping of the paint surface and some wearing of the paint where it is screwed into the base. Bottom is stamped IRON ART JM-8. Vintage vanity dresser stand up mirror in art nouveau style. The ornate rim is made of cast iron(indicated in photo#12"Iron Art" Gold plated. The gold plate however has various areas of smokiness due to age. Also some scattered green patina bottom side of this piece which I think is a plus for vintage items like this. Measurements as per photo#2. At the crown back side are inscribed JM 34. Photo#11. Not sure what that means. Dark lines on each side of the bottom half. Photo#9. They are not mirror scratch but probably loss of'paint' from back of mirror. There are 12 photos in all. Please check all of them. The stand flips right to left. Please ask questions. This ornate oval shaped dresser or table mirror is decorated with flowers. Birds and winged cherubs. There is some wear to the cherubs as shown in the photos. The mirror has a beveled edge and has some scratches to the surface. There is also some loss to the silver backing. The frame itself is in great condition with no cracks or breakage to the metal. The bracket or stand is good and works fine. The frame is quite heavy. It measures 17" tall and is 16" wide. This is a very lovely antique framed mirror and would look great restored or left as is.
