Antique Oval Small Mirror Frame Bronze Brass? Very Heavy, Ornate, Foundry Mark
This is a very old and very heavy frame. Probably made in the late Victorian era at the end of the 19th century, or the very early 20th century. It is marked on the back 217 and in another place it looks like NB+NY- not sure about this mark, the second part is hard read. Might be NV or even IW. I believe it is bronze or brass. I have seen this frame in a larger version many times in cast iron, and those are heavy, but this one is REALLY heavy. You may have seen frames like this that are usually a foot tall or more. This is a little guy. Only 9" tall and 8" across. The frame has been fitted with a mirror which is newer. There are 3 little tabs that more easily on the back. And you could replace the mirror with glass and use it as a picture frame if you wanted. I think this frame probably had an easel-back at one time so that you ... morecould use it on a table. That has not survived the last 125 years or so. This is suitable for hanging with 2 small screws that would hold each curved piece at the top. This is great for any place you want to add a little reflection, especially nice in a grouping of mirrors. Just out of a local house is this fine ornate antique bronze easel style mirror or picture frame. It has a winged cherub face. Winged creatures in the upper corners, Northwind faces on the sides with fruit and foliate motifs. The frame measures 18 7/8 inches high and 15 7/8 inches wide and currently has a mirror but could be used as a picture frame if desired. It is a heavy bronze casting weighing about 9 3/4 pounds. This is a very ornate pair of matching vanity mirror plateaus. These are not footed and sit flat on the surface. They look like bronze but I believe they are actually spelter. They are metal backed and that metal is covered with paint that feels like it has a polymer in it. They look old but I am not sure that they aren't just made to look that way. Either way. They would also make great wall accents or would be super behind a candle sconce. They are not set up to hang but that could be easily remedied. The metal and the glass are in great condition. Here is a fabulous very old Antique 19th Century Ornate Bronze Standing Dressing Table Shaving Mirror featuring Griffins. Cherubs, reticulated foliage, a torch top; all sensational. The mirror portion is tin that has aged to a bronzy patina with a foggy reflection. The easel portion has a wire replacement but does still stand. Overall measurements are 23" tall, 15" wide and the bronze is approximately 1/4" thick. Exquisite bronze work that I believe dates around 1850. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ORNATE BRONZE CHERUB VANITY MIRROR 13 1/2" X 12" X 2 3/4"
Offered for your consideration is this beautiful ornate bronze mirror. I believe it is bronze since my magnet does not stick to it. Although my magnet is not the strongest. It does stick to the screws on back but not to any other part on the mirror in the slightest bit at all. I know brass is slightly magnetic and bronze is not(based on what I read on line) This measures 13 1/2" high X 12" wide X 2 3/4" deep. The width is measured including the knobs on the side that screw on and off. This is a gorgeous mirror that can compliment many styles such as art nouveau, victorian, shabby chic. the list goes on. When I ship I will be taking the knobs off so I can fit it in a large flat rate box. They will screw back in, but be forwarned, that you have to spin them a little until they line up correctly. They will screw in once you find ... morethe spot. One screws in a little further than the other. I just don't want them damaged in the shipping. I've compared some of the mirrors on line. This one seems a little bigger. The screws on back are standard flat screws rather than phillips head which is an older type screw. As stated in the condition description. I believe the back has been replaced. I do not think the back is the original. I really think this is an older one. Look at the pics up close. As stated in the condition description I have not cleaned this, because I am uncertain what would be considered patina and desirable to the collector. I will leave cleaning up to the buyer. It is quite dirty but still gorgeous! I only ship within the USA and DO NOT SELL WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. Good luck bidding.

Beautiful ornate vintage mirror or photo/ picture frame with glass insert. Looks stunning hanging on the wall. Originally had a stand but it is missing(see holes on the back bottom) Glass insert has a few chips on edges but is not visible from the front. Slide the glass in and out from the top. Can replace it with a mirror. There is a marking on the back that looks like PALLAPR 2 but I cannot be sure. Original patino. Wire has been wrapped around frame to use for hanging since the stand is missing. Total measurements: 12"x9" I do not know what it is made out of- bronze. Brass or pot metal. This cast brass picture frame has been converted from an easel back photo frame and to a mirror made to hang on the wall. The frame measures 11" by 9" across the outer rim with a 5" by 4" wide opening for the mirror. There is a metal plate on the back attached with four flat head screws and a wire that goes from each side to hang on the wall. This is not cast iron and metal is not magnetic. This is a very nice quality antique solid gold gilded bronze Bradley and Hubbard Bacchus figural wall mirror. it is made from very thick bronze. Has a lovely gold gilded finish, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. it is extremely ornate and has a wonderful cut out floral/scroll design. it is nicely footed with a detailed hanging hook in-between them. the top has a very large dimensional portrait depiction of Bacchus. the original mirror has a great beveled edge and has a nice shape. it is signed on the back B&H and is numbered. in nice antique condition measuring 15 inches tall by 10 inches wide. very nice quality Victorian mirror. This is a stunning antique 19th century gold gilded cast iron ornate Victorian wall mirror. it has a beautiful bronzed patina from age and made from very thick heavy iron. it is done with an abundance of very intricate detailing done in high relief. the top depicts a dimensional cherub with hand wrapping a large scroll. the feet are very detailed griffins/dragons with large wings and sharp clawed feet. it is in very nice antique condition and has a hanging wire on the back. measures 11 3/4 inches by 8 3/4 inches. An exceptional. Original, antique, victorian solid bronze mirror with ornate openwork decoration which has an easel foot backing so that it can be used on a dresser or table top or hung on a wall. The mirror is rather large measuring approximately 23" tall by 15 1/2" wide and is quite heavy(10lbs) being made of solid bronze(not plated cast iron) The easel foot backing is original and has a very old solid repair(see last photo) to the lower section. The mirror glass which is in excellent condition appears to be a more recent replacement for the original. Antique Ornate French Victorian Boudoir Vanity Table Mirror Gold Bronze Brass ?
This heavy. Solid Antique 1800's Ornate French Table or Boudoir Mirror is in excellent condition. The original mirror is in great condition with no cracks, chips, damage, black or dull spots to the mirror. I have shown several pictures so you can get a good look at the mirror. Any specks on the mirror in the pictures are dust and are not permanent marks on the mirror. The heavy ornate gold stand is also in great condition with no damage. It still has the original green felt backing and original clips holding the mirror in place. The stand is very solid and holds the mirror securely on a dresser, dressing table or desk. It is embossed with the numbers 08576 on the bottom edge of the stand. It is very heavy and solid. This mirror has been stored in a dresser drawer for well over 40 years, until it was recently discovered, and was rarely ... moreused. I was told it was from the 1800's. It is approximately 2 inches tall and 9 inches wide. I am not positive how to describe this mirror. I am not sure if it is considered French Bronze or something else.
