For your consideration is this rare French Art Nouveau ornate brass plated cast iron boudoir mirror Circa 1920’s/1930’s Very heavy and solid. Ornate floral and scroll ornamentation. The mirror portion measures approx. 12.5” in height. Total height of mirror from base to tip of mirror is 15.5” in height. Mirror length from left to right including brass frame is 8 3/4” at widest point. The mirror has very old red/burgundy felt backing which is quite faded. Art nouveau ornate brass handheld mirror
This beautiful handheld mirror is in as found condition. It is 9 1/2 inches long and 4 inches wide. It is made of brass and has a bit of a patina to it. There is a small scratch on the front of the mirror. Just below the center measuring 1/2 inch. On the back, MADE IN ITALY is molded into the handle. There is an unusual finish on the back of the mirror, almost like cork but harder. There are little divots on the back of the frame that appear to once have had little plugs. Only one"plug" remains and I suspect they were to prevent scratches on a vanity.

Really Nice looking Female figural Art Nouveau Tilt Shaving Mirror with beveled glass. Photos show more of the back of the mirror due to the difficulty in photographing mirrors. The glass has some freckling and spots where the silvering on the back is going away. The body of this mirror and stand is mostly iron that has been plated with something. Magnets stick but not well. Maybe a bronze overlay. The metal has age related patina and discoloration. Some rust in places. This mirror stands about 15-1/2" tall. The base is 4-1/2" wide and the glass part of the mirror(showing) is 7-5/16" x 5-5/16" The widest part of the mirror(where the swivel is) measures about 7-5/8" No brand markings anyplace on this mirror. Vintage vanity dresser stand up mirror in art nouveau style. The ornate rim is made of cast iron(indicated in photo#12"Iron Art" Gold plated. The gold plate however has various areas of smokiness due to age. Also some scattered green patina bottom side of this piece which I think is a plus for vintage items like this. Measurements as per photo#2. At the crown back side are inscribed JM 34. Photo#11. Not sure what that means. Dark lines on each side of the bottom half. Photo#9.
