This is an antique Quartersawn Oak Beveled Mirror Hat Rack that I purchased over ten years ago. Please take a close look at the photos. But I believe that the item is in very good antique condition. After I purchased the mirror, I obtained a new beveled mirror which is the mirror presently in the frame. I also have and am including with the sale the very nice, obviously older(loss of silver on backing) beveled mirror that was in the frame when I purchased the frame. The mirror has been kept in a smoke-free home. The overall frame measures approximately 15 1/2" by 15 1/2" by 6" deep/high taking the hat rack hooks into account. The quartersawn oak frame is approximately 3" wide by 3/ deep/high. An original. Hard to find mission arts and crafts era furniture item. this shaving stand has its original hardware, mirrors and appears to be original finish in very good condition. It stands 68 tall, 14 deep, and 13 wide- 36 wide, with the mirrors opened up. I have a large antique beveled mirror. The size it 41 inches tall and 23 inches wide with frame. The mirror itself measures 36 inches tall by 17 ¼ inches wide. It does show its age with the mirror. The mercury on back a glass is spotted in some areas and one corner of the frame is loose. I am sure an expert can fix it. It is very HEAVY! My mother had this hanging on the wall in her entry way so I know it is doable to hang. I am no expert on conditions and try to describe to the best of my ability. Apparently once part of a dresser/mirror combo, as it has side bolts holes and the bolts to fasten them to a frame Outside dimensions are 22 3/4" x 19 1/4" x 5/8" thick; the mirror image is 17" x 15" the threaded bolts are 4" long and the bolt holes are 1/4" across I am not a wood expert. But it looks like oak to me; the overall design is Arts& Crafts/Mission style, as it is simple, yet arched at the top, and it is solid and well-made The mirror glass looks good for the age. And is possibly a replacement-there are no cracks or breaks and it could just use a simple polishing; the backing has a water stain, but this has not appeared to affect the mirror; the only hallmarks I could find are the numbers on the backing piece; the bolts ... morehave nice turn-key ends Overall condition is good.
