Antique/Vintage Vanity/Dresser Round Makeup Mirror ~ Heavy Brass Stand & Frame
This is a very nice antique make-up mirror. It is on a stand so it can be used on a dresser or vanity. It has a gold colored frame. It could be brass. But I'm not completely certain of the metal. It stands 13 1/2 inches tall. The mirror itself is round and is 8 inches in diameter. The mirror has two sides and can be flipped over to have either side at whatever angle is needed. This is a very sturdy item- it weighs almost 3 pounds. There are no markings on the bottom. So I'm not sure how old or where it was made. Antique Arts 1800's Tri Fold Vanity Makeup Mirror Shaving Vintage Victorian Nice
Here is a beautiful antique tri-fold mirror with heavy beveled glass. French style Ormolu decorations of raised applied corners. Beaded and rope design on front and back of frame. The hinges are excellent and it closes with no problems, the glass is very nice for its age with just a little light spotting, the metal gold tone frame has discolorations from age, there are two small dents in the frame, one on the right panel top, the other on the bottom of the middle panel, very small but I think you can see it in one of the photos. There is one Ormolu corner missing. The chain is discolored and one of the mirror brackets to hold the chain is slightly bent. I'm not positive but i think the backs of the panels are leather, two are textured and one is smoother, maybe just the two outside ones are leather and the middle not, I just don't ... moreknow for sure. The mirror measures 22 1/4" by 10 1/4" laying flat, folded up it is approx. 10 1/4" by 7 1/4" It weighs 4.6 lbs. From what I could find out it is from the late 1800's. This Lovely Antique Hand Vanity Beveled Mirror is another Great Estate Find. It is about 9.25" Long and the round portion has a Diameter of about 5 1/8" Most likely it dates back in time to the period of the 1920s to 1930s and features pretty Pansies with soft green leaves. In full blossom. There are 2 photos of the mirror portion. One was taken outdoors and is reflecting Geraniums growing nearby; the other was taken indoors and is reflecting a textured ceiling panel. I'm not sure which gives a better view of the mirror so I posted both here. Unfortunately. There is a large horizontal crack running across the porcelain at about the center. It runs across the area of the Yellow Pansy. On the mirror part in the bevel, right near the metal edge, there is what appears to be a small discolorated area. You can see a fairly good enlarged close-up in last picture. I don't think it is cracked as it cannot be felt to the touch. I think it is some sort of little discoloration behind the mirror glass. All that being said. It still makes a beautiful addition to an Antique or Romantic Period Setting. Please do not

This is a very old make-up mirror with a swivel mirror for 10x magnified reflection. Mirror is still in working condition with all original bulbs. The frame is made from ornate gold with a plastic like material covering a gold fabric underneath. Very cool. It's not in perfect condition. Could use proper cleaning or polishing on the metal.
