Vintage Mid Century Hollywood Regency Ornate Scrolled Large Oval Gold Tone Mirror. Large mirror at approx 32.5" tall and 18.5" wide. The beautiful oval mirror is quality at over 1/4" thick. No identifying makers marks but I suspect it is by Syroco. The back had a label identifying it to be from Sears early 1960's. I would call this Hollywood Regency Syroco Style. Seems to be a heavy plastic/poly resin material painted will heavy gold tone paint. There are two spots that have paint scratched off. Please look at all my photos. I believe that with age the gold color turned somewhat green in areas. Approx 30" X 7-1/2" with the wooden decorative piece at the top adds approx. 1" approx. 31" X 7-1/2" approx. 1" thick wood frame. The frame has a nice carved detail to it as well as the extra piece on top. There are signs of age/use/wear. Some color/enamel fade/loss in areas. The backing is intact in areas and not in others. The wood has some chips, scuffs, dings, etc. The mirror has streaking that comes with age. There is a very small bite in the glass right in between the picture and the mirror, under the small piece of wood that separates the two which can be seen ... morein second picture, very small. There is no maker name or mark on this lovely hand held mirror. The frame of the mirror is wood and the handle is somewhat heavy metal. Frame has some design to it. Both are painted or accented in gold tone. The handle is screwed into the mirror and has Patent Pending on it. I am not 100% sure of the age or if Edwardian in style but the pictured lady is very grand in a fancy dress or gown with ribbons and lace holding a garland of flowers. Looks Edwardian to me. No expert. The handle jiggles a little bit and someone has put small nails at the corners of the frame helping to hold it together. It is used but just lovely. Some of the paint(gold tone) has worn off both wooden frame and handle. The mirror itself is in very good shape. Just needs a cleaning. The framed mirror section measures a little over 6 inches wide and 8 inches top to bottom ... morewhere handle meets the frame. The metal handle measures almost 10 inches in length. It is ornate with flowers here and there and loops. Very nice. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS. NO RETURNS. Great addition to your Edwardian/Victorian decor!
