French Sevres Chateau des Tuileries Vase Urn Gilted Metal Signed Lebrun
This auction is for a Sevres turquoise vase. It is in very good condition. Just normal wear, no scratches and no breakage that I can see. I inherited this vase from a family member so I am not an expert about it but it is very beautiful. I don't believe there have been any repairs or touchups but I really don't know for sure. I can't see any, I am not an expert on this type of item so am selling as is. Please review photos and I can provide further photos if needed. It says Chateau des Tuileries on the bottom of the base(in an orange color) and has a marking Sevres 1844 in blue and then S 37 also on the bottom of the base(see photo) It is attached to metal(I think this might be called gilted metal not sure) The side of the vase(or urn- not sure which to call it) has a portrait of a person and then is signed Lebrun. Antique English Mahogany and Gilted Metal "Turning - Swiveling - Thing"
This is a really great- and very interesting piece- however I have no idea what it is. Purchased in England- It has been hanging on the wall in my kitchen for numerous years as a sort of"Wall Sculpture" To date- no one has been able to give me a reasonable explanation as to what it is- or what it was used for. The piece is made of beautifully turned Mahogany with a Gilt metal Rod or Handle. The piece measures 17 inches in over-all length. The side arm that holds the screw-in wooden piece is 6 inches in length. The side arm swivels in all directions- but does not detach from the gilt rod. The screw-in wooden piece at the end of the arm can be detached from the arm(Photo#5) Because of the round hole centered in this detachable piece(Photo#7) Someone suggested that it might have been used for a Candle( The gilt rod is 8 1/2 inches ... morein length- with a very decorative"Twisted" effect. What ever it is- it has a history and has been well used. There are a couple of"bites" in the mahogany- and scuffs and scratches commensurate with age. If anyone can shed any light on this- I would love to hear from you. Please note- I have heard from a couple of friendly E-bayers who both advise that this is a winder to add or subtract table leaves from a Mahogany Dining Room Table. The lidded urn has two hand painted scenes- one of a young woman and the other of a lake scene. The lid has a gilt pineapple finial and is decorated in turquoise blue with gold highlights. This auction is for a simply wonderful antique French appliqué on a fine silk gauze net ground. It consists of very fine black silk velvet. Tiny delicate gold gifted metal threads, and very tiny silk petitpoint stitchwork. The underside has a subtle glittery effect from the fine metal threads throughout which are metal and not metallic. You can even feel their texture upon touch. This is really lovely and not one that will be seen in the near future.I believe that this was once trim when I acquired it, but even then, it only had about three-four motifs. This is my only piece. It is authentic of the earlier era and is really beautiful in color, detail and patination. Antique Chippendale gilted Tole painted metal Tray peafowl floral decorated
Offering an antique Chippendale tray all original with beautiful early peafowl and floral decoration. Rare with a deep mustard base and gold gilt decoration around the molded edge. Piece measures LARGE at approx. 31" by 23" and shows age appropriate wear. Not a newer look as you would find on one from the 1950s. Notice hand tooled rolled edges shown on the back of the tray. Hanger came on it and is included. Would look fantastic over a fireplace mantel!

ANTIQUE PERFUME BOTTLE TRIO GERMAN w/ GILTED METAL CADDY HOLDER FRENCH? 1900's
What a wonderful Christmas present this would make for that special person in your life! This is an antique trio of perfume bottles. Each with a faceted perfume dauber, tightly encased in a one of a kind gilted metallic caddy holder. The footed holder is 3 1/4" tall at top of the tallest flower and is nearly 4 1/2" across. The flowers are very ornate and everything is in perfect condition. The patina shows some age. there are no makers marks on the holder, that I can see. The bottles are 4 1/2" tall, each one has a faceted glass top with a glass dauber extending down into the bottle. The glass daubers each have a little soft roughness in the glass near the ends to ensure that a small amount of perfume clings to the glass when being removed to be used. On the bottom of each bottle, in a very light, fine white lined circle are ... morethe words"BOTTLE MADE IN GERMANY" in extremely tiny letters. Nearly faded out on one of the bottles but still legible on all three. NO cracks, chips, repairs, other than the tiny nick on a corner of one of the facets of one crystal stopper as noted in the above description. The only way to find it is to feel for the tiny nick. I am not sure if the footed holder is what is called brass ormolu. If anyone knows for sure, would appreciate an email! Please feel free to email me with any questions or comments. This auction is for a most exquisite antique French delicate silk/gold gilted metal lace textile fragment salvaged from an early era dress.it is lightweight. But with a wonderful drape due to its metal threads(the fibers are NOT metallic, but gilted metal)you can feel these fine, thin threads in its texture as well as it being somewhat cool to the touch.this is from my personal collection and is another textile that I am reluctant to sell. I have had it for many years and have not seen one similar. UNIQUE FINE DELICATE ANTIQUE FRENCH 1900s WOVEN SILKEN GILTED METAL LACE TRIM
This auction is for a very lovely and unique antique French early 1900s lace trim fragment.It consists of fine. Delicate gilted-gold metal(not metallic) threads with silken ombre-colored threads woven throughout its center. The photos do not do this justice whatsoever. It is very delicate and like a piece of jewelry.It is a flat trim and can be ironed to straighten out if needed.It is very desirable to the collector of hard-to-find trims. This is in wonderful condition with no issues that I detect. It measures approximately 18" x 3/8" It has a lovely shimmering effect;simply stunning.
