Being offered for sale is this fancy 19th century French Victorian Carved Fruitwood Triple Beveled Over Mantle Mirror with an abundance of carvings.This elegant 19th century mirror has its original shaped beveled mirrors and we believe it to have its old original finish. This mirror measures a total height to the top of the carvings of 42 inches. Total width of 50 inches and weighs approximately 35 lbs. The center mirror measures 27 inches high by 26 3/4 inches wide, each side mirror measures 21 inches high by 8 1/2 inches wide. This mirror appears to have its old wood backing and does have a newer wire intact on the back for hanging. This is a really beautiful little trifold shaving mirror! I purchased this in upstate New York a couple of years ago and haven't found a place for it in my home. It is from the early 1900s. It has a very French style with the bow on top. Very nice beveled mirrors! Each mirror is just over 8 inches square. Fully extended. This piece is 25 1/2 inches long. Original clasp works fine. The setting and the bow trim seem to be made of solid brass. The mirrors have lost silvering with age. The ivy-patterned paper front is worn as well. Here we have a Gorgeous antique French Tri-Fold Mirror with amazing etched motif. This piece was just purchased from a very fine estate and is simply stunning. It is large being aprox 26 inches high to top of Rams head. When opened it is aprox 28 inches wide. It is in fair condition but looks fabulous. There are some chips on the beveled mirrors( all 3 mirrors on bevels) Play of mirror in frame but totally stable. Silver loss on center mirror at base. Abrasions to center mirror& one plug screw missing. see last 2 pics) The mirror stands on supports from the center mirror only so even with the one plug gone the mirror is very stable as the plug is only for the side mirror which still works& displays fine. Recent estate find: selling a magnificent antique early 1900's FRENCH silver mirror frame. Originally there was a pair of these mirrors- one still had the original double beveled edge mirror intact(which I didn't get) and mine is just the frame. But wow- what a gorgeous frame! This is extremely good quality- very thick and very heavy! Pictures cannot do justice! Can still be used as a picture frame as is or one can add a mirror inside. This mirror frame dates from the Victorian era- early 1900's from France. The metal appears like silver but it may be a silver alloy metal- have not had tested. I also didn't see any marks. Frame has a stand in back so it can stand up also has a wire so it can be hung on wall. Mirror frame measures 19" in height and 12" width(widest part) It is in excellent condition. This ca. 1845-1860 walnut on pine veneer frame is topped by deeply carved solid walnut crest and measures 38 ½” x 21 3/8” with 28 ¼” x 16 ½” reveal. There are mounting holes on the side of the frame and you will note minor shrinkage cracks in the stable veneer which has no obvious loss. This offering is for a beautiful and OLD. Victorian/Arts& Crafts large wall or mantel mirror. This gorgeous mirror features a substantial(chunky, if you will) solid wood frame made of turned wood with a center section of French or Barley twist accent. Trimmed similarly to an old window or door, the frame has four large corner blocks with an Arts and Crafts styled floral bouquet/basket appliques. The spool wood is hand fitted into the back wood frame which is also thick and substantial. The frame has been gilded and the color is now a beautiful, aged gold or bronzed color. The mirror is in very good condition for its age(early 1900s) There is some expected wear/aging to the patina of the wood. There are some minor scratches and chips but these are not distracting and actually compliment the character of the piece. There appears to have ... morebeen one minor repair to the frame where it meets the mirror. It appears as a piece was cracked and has been glued to secure it(see picture 11) It is holding quite well with no issues. The back is faced with paper. The old hangers have been removed with a center hanger attached. I think the mirror is too heavy for a single hanger so you may want to add an additional hanger. The mirror is meant to hang horizontally as the corner floral baskets dictate this(otherwise, they will hang side ways) The mirrored glass is in good condition with no chips, cracks or loss of back coating. The mirror is large and measures 41" wide and 21" tall. It extends 2.75" from the wall. The mirror glass is 33.5" x 13.75" The mirror is heavy and weighs approximately 25-30 lbs. This is an old 19th Century Victorian boudoir wall mirror from a wonderful high end estate. It is vertical with the top section being an old original antique print of French ladies in the boudoir dressing. The print is in nice condition. The frame is 13 1/2" by 55" and the print is 9 3/4" by 13 1/2" The frame has all original patina and features a gold or bronze gilt with pink roses and pansies in relief. The frame has blue highlights. The frame has a few hairlines in the gesso which is common to old frames. See closeups. I also see a 2" fracture line in the gesso on center left side of the frame. Up for consideration is a lovely Antique Victorian Blue Guilloche Enamel Hand Mirror with a French Portrait of a Lady. The mirror and handle measure approx. 10 1/2" including the loop at the bottom. The mirror is set in fancy gold metal- either bronze or brass. It is a heavy mirror. There is a portrait of a lady in the center. I would guess the mirror to be French. There is a crack across it- see Pict. 3& 4 and I believe you could do a good job of repairing it if so desired. The crack does not go across her face but along her lower portion. She is still a beaufifully hand painted portrait. The blue guilloche enamel is in very good condition. The mirror appears to be the original mirror and it does have issues- see Pict 6. This Stunning Porcelain and Bronze Hand Mirror. Features a wonderful portrait of the La Grande Mademoiselle Anne Marie Louise d'Orleans the Duchess of Montpensier(May 29.1627- April 5,1693) She is considered to be one of the Greatest and Wealthiest Heiress in France's History and she was the Grand daughter of King Henry the IV. The front of this mirror is made of porcelain and is beautifully hand painted with a dark Limoges cobalt blue border surrounding the white background of her portrait(see pic#3)On the Back is a wonderful hand beveled mirror. The elegant Art Nouveau frame is bronze with gold gilt accents. It has a beautiful wreath pattern around the outside ... moreand a naturalistic scrolling design of leaves. Berries, and Flower petals on the unique double loop finger hole handle. This antique Mirror dates from around the late 1800's to the early 1900's. The Victorian Era. It is approx. 5 1/4 inches wide by 7 1/4 inches long including the handle. It is very heavy weighting about 11.6 oz. She has been lovingly used for over 100 years. So it does show signs of wear and age which is to be expected(see pics) The handle and frame are in superb condition. You can see that the porcelain was adorned with gold gilt scroll accents. That have been almost washed away with time, but must have been magnificent when it was new. This heavy. Solid Antique 1800's Ornate French Table or Boudoir Mirror is in excellent condition. The original mirror is in great condition with no cracks, chips, damage, black or dull spots to the mirror. I have shown several pictures so you can get a good look at the mirror. Any specks on the mirror in the pictures are dust and are not permanent marks on the mirror. The heavy ornate gold stand is also in great condition with no damage. It still has the original green felt backing and original clips holding the mirror in place. The stand is very solid and holds the mirror securely on a dresser, dressing table or desk. It is embossed with the numbers 08576 on the bottom edge of the stand. It is very heavy and solid. This mirror has been stored in a dresser drawer for well over 40 years, until it was recently discovered, and was rarely ... moreused. I was told it was from the 1800's. It is approximately 2 inches tall and 9 inches wide. I am not positive how to describe this mirror. I am not sure if it is considered French Bronze or something else. A magnet does stick to it so it must contain some type of steel or metal. If anyone has any information, please let me know so I may update my listing. This is what I believe to be a Victorian era French style cartouche mirror.
