Up for Sale a Fabulous Antique Italian Florentine Rococo Highly Carved Wood Gold Leaf Wall Mirror Frame Shelf 25" Long. DESCRIPTION: Finials Fleur de lis Elaborate wood acanthus leaves are supporting the shelf Wood is just beautifully carved covered with bright gold leaves. The back side is just as beautiful and tells a lot about the workmanship. Cardboard back was taped on the back and it's loose. Nothing to be concerned about it. It looks like the mirror was replaced because is not beveled. MEASUREMENTS: 25" long 10 3/4" wide at widest point( shelf) Inner oval mirror 9" x 7 1/4" It stick out from the wall 4.5" Shelf is 3 3/4" wide at widest point x 8 3/4" long. CONDITION: Minor cracks are shown in last 3 pics. I have counted a total of 15 minor cracks. Shelf has some missing and repainted carved"ball" ... morerim( pic 4. 9) 75" missing carved"balls" rim. 2" roughly replaced( and repainted( not sure if that is visible on pic 9) 1" replaced repainted on the other end. I would do nothing as it won't be seen when displayed since it's on the upper shelf part as shown in pic 5. Otherwise great. Age related wear above described, solid and ready to decorate a wall! Listing 6 vintage mirrors with gold frames. 5 mirrors have Florentia. Hand made in Italy. 1 mirror(the square 5 3/4"X 6 3/4" has a number#1511 2113,with no other information. The mirror frames are not wood or plastic. They are a lightweight material. The smallest oval mirror is 4 1/2" in length. Some normal wear including a silver line from the back of the mirror on the mirror. A few have holes in the paper on the back. These were all found wrapped in tissue in an old Nordstrom box on a basement shelf.

Two of them are a matched pair. They measure 9.5" long by approximately 7.75" across. The third(on the left) measures 13.75" long x approximately 8.25" across. The fourth(on the right) measures 12.25" long x 8" across. Only the fourth is clearly made of wood. I can't be sure what the first three are made of but it resembles wood. Lovely Small Vintage G Vanghi Florence Hand Made Italy Florentine Wall Mirror
Lovely Small Vintage G Vanghi Florence Hand Made Italy Florentine Wall Mirror O.K. So I spent allllll day yesterday shopping for you and came home with a truck-full. I’m so excited to show you what I have! Lots of antiques; primitive to retro to deco to Victorian pretties, advertising, and just cool stuff. I’ll take me a white to list, so be sure to keep checking! Gosh. It seems like a white since I have sold a piece of Italian Florentine- and I actually found two in my treasure hunts this week- so be sure to check my other listings too. This listing is for a wonderful small wall mirror, tagged on the back that reads, Hand Made in Italy, Style B350M, G. Vanghi- Florence. The mirror measures 7 1/4" by 5 3/8" on the ouside of the frame and the mirror alone/inside the frame measures 5 1/4" by 3 1/2" It is in excellent solid ... moreand sturdy condition structurally. The frame is sound and the mirror is without cracks or chips that I can see. There's ripping to the paper at the back on the upper left hand side- the type caused by pushing in, and it looks like the paper has darkened with age- there's caramel colored stains/marks all over that look like foxing. The finish on the frame shows some wear and chipping that I think is minor, especially for old Florentine. See photo 5 where there's some chipping on the inside. You can see some wear spots on the perimeter/side of the frame too- little white dots. The largest chip is on the lower left side and it's about 1/4" long- that's the one in photo 5. Everything else is much smaller. You can see what appears to be crackling or crazing to both the gold and the gorgeous medium blue finish on the frame- I think it just makes the piece look yummy and it shows its age. It weighs just over 1/4 lb. The mirror could use a good cleaning. I do not clean or mess with as found patina in any way. There's very light scratching on the mirror, but the reflection is nice.
