Vintage Antique Beveled Mirror Cast Iron (?) Coat--Hat--Towel Rack--Fantastic
Up for auction is a FANTASTIC small Hat Rack/ Coat Rack/ Towel Rack. It really is beautiful. The total size is 8" x 23" The mounting bracket. In picture 5, is attached to the back and sits squarely in the middle at 4" from either side. This is small and would fit just about anywhere and be used for a number of things. No matter the use it would look stellar and add a bit of charm. The mirror is beveled and I think it is made of cast iron. For a little sucker it is fairly heavy. Brass Rosettes on the ends of the 5 Turned Coat Pegs The 5 scenes on the porcelain buttons have art by the French Artist Jean-Honore' Fragonard and have the brass ornate boarders around each of them. Each one of the scenes have his signature. I am not an expert on art or know much about it. This is a beautiful piece of heavy solid wood. I believe its mahogany but not positive. Its an authentic old piece. There are two hooks at the top for hanging it. There are 2 hooks on either side of the mirror. The center hook is missing but the screws are in the hole. As I was preparing this mirror for restoration. I found the remnants of an old newspaper behind the large mirror. It was dated September 16, 1903. That means this mirror is at least 111 years old, possibly older. The frame is magnificent solid tiger oak, which has been beautifully refinished. The four coat/hat hooks are solid brass which have been polished to a natural finish. The three original beveled mirrors, all have the usual aging spots, and shadows which is very common with mirrors this age. However, the image seen in the mirrors is clear. This is an extremely beautiful mirror which would enhance any hall oy foyer. 36 1/2" long 21" tall

This is a rare and beautiful quarter sawn oak mirror with original hat hooks. And in very good original condition considering the age. Original mirror, beveled glass, Overall dimensions 28" tall by 36-1/2" Wide; the mirrored area is 23-1/2" wide x 19" tall. Some of the silvering is gone from the back of the plate glass that is the actual mirror itself and you can see dark blotches in the back. While this might look a bit unsightly compared to a new mirror. It is one of the ways that you know you are getting the original 1890's mirror glass that was installed when the mirror was built. There are also a few imprefections in the mirror glass, another sign that the glass itself is original. There are also a few marks from wear on the wood and glass, which you would also expect from a mirror that is older than any living ... moreperson on the planet. Unique Diagonal Vintage Dark Oak Hall Tree: Mirror & Coat/Hat Hooks -1900-1940's
This item is a wonderful Vintage(Antique) Mirror and Coat-hat Hanger combination. It is made from quartersawn oak. The frame is in excellent condition structurally. It has two double hooks on opposite sides. The mirror is intended to hang in a triangular fashion. There are two hanging wires on the back. One is a small wire hook located at the top. The other is a heavier gauge wire located on opposite sides to again hang in a triangular fashion. Please see pics. The back of the wood frame has multiple holes in the corners, my guess is they are from different times it has been hung. The front of the piece is in excellent condition, the wood has been stained, but it is done well. The two hooks are beautifully detailed and well preserved. There is no rust or disintegration of the metal. The mirror is showing its age. The corners/edges have some ... moredamage to the silver. Additionally there are brushstrokes that can be seen in the mirror from when the silver was originally applied. The mirror is beveled about 1 inch from its edge. The mirror is a bit loose inside the frame. When moved the mirror shifts within the frame about a half an inch. Once it is hung this is not an issue. However, this would be easy to stabilize by using a small wedge inserted in the side of the mirror. I am referring to this mirror as a vintage piece, it may well be much older but I do not claim to know the age. The mirror frame measures 20 inches square at its widest point. The hooks are about 4 inches in length and are out from the frame a little less than 3 inches. This beautiful Mirror- Hanger combo weighs approximately 6 lbs. 8 oz. This Quartersawn Oak Mirror would make a wonderful addition to your home. I have more pictures available if you would like me to send them to you. Vintage Antique Quartersawn Oak Mirror Hat Scarf Coat Cast Iron Hook Rack Hanger
For your consideration is this very nice quality quartersawn oak mirror with original hooks and beveled glass mirror. The circa 1900's mirror is in very good condition with only slight spotting in areas of the silvered back. The frame measures 19 1/4" tall x 29 3/8" wide x 3" deep.overall the piece is 33 1/2" including the hooks. The hardwood frame retains much of its old varnished surface and shows very well. The glass and cast iron hooks are free of any cracks. Breaks or repairs. The piece is estate fresh and in very nice" as found" condition. The shipping calculator is close. Antique OAK HAT & COAT RACK with MIRROR WALL QUARTER SAWN BENT TWISTED WIRE HOOK
Antique Hat& Coat Rack with Mirror The Oak Hat& Coat Rack with Mirror& Four(4) Bent Twisted Wire Hooks has not been refinished. Original dark finish. There are Two(2) Brass Hooks on the back of the Hat& Coat Rack for attaching it to the wall. The Round Mirror is framed with Quarter Sawn Oak. The Wire Hooks fold into the wood. Four(4) Round Bars are separated with four(4) Pieces of Wood. The bars fit through the pieces of wood& stick out slightly on each end. The top& bottom bars are the full length of the rack. The middle two bars only are on the outside two pieces of wood on each side. The mirror is centered& attached to two pieces of the wood with brass brads. Very attractive! Approximate Measurements: 24.25" x 13.5" x 1 5/8" Condition: Good used condition with scruffs& scratches consistent ... morewith use& age. 1800s Hanging Mirror with Coat and Hat Hooks
This is 1800s wall mirror with coat hooks and hat hook( 1 hat hook missing) as you can see by the pictures it needs to be restored. It is all original and has been handed down through the family unfortunately it is missing a piece from the right side but I think it can be remade. The mirror shows hazing from age. Antique Oak Hall Mirror with Hooks The Oak Hall Mirror has the Original Finish. The Mirror was hanging in the bathroom of a local farm house. The hooks had been removed& the holes were plugged. The hooks were found on a shelf in the barn. The plugs were removed from the mirror& the hooks were replaced. The color of the hooks are slightly different due to removal& storage. The edge of the rosette on one hook is broken but is not too noticeable. The Hall Mirror with Hooks would be a nice addition to an entry hall or near the back door for hats& coats. Approximate Measurements: 19.5" x 15.5" Condition: Good used condition with scruffs& scratches consistent with use& age. The mirror needs to be cleaned. either refinish or leave"as is" if desired. The mirror is cloudy& needs to be replaced or leave"as ... moreis" for a shabby look! The mirror would be a beautiful golden oak if refinished.
