ANTIQUE MAHOGANY CIVIL WAR ERA CHEVAL MIRROR~ORIG MERC MIRROR~EXC COND~NO RSV
ANTIQUE MAHOGANY CIVIL WAR ERA CHEVAL MIRROR~ORIG MERC MIRROR~EXC COND~NO RSV I am happy to offer such an old mirror.might be even older than the 1860s. My friend who is a real buff on antique furniture got so excited with this mirror. He was thrilled to see the mirror was not even worn off.still incredibly usable. He felt the mirror is anywhere from the 1840s to 60s. The mirror came from an old farmhouse 18th century. Now the specs: The mirror is in excellent condition. NO veneers on the edges of the mirror missing. The solid mahogany bottom and swirled arms, again, all in good structural condition.NO breaks, NO repairs. I believe this mirror belonged to the old house from the beginning. The mirror is 56" high. Ladies and gents back then were not as tall as today and the ladies predominantly used these mirrors to see their PETTICOATS! ... moreThe mirror full width with frame is 29" wide. The mirror itself(very usable) is 44" high and 21" wide. Shipping for the mirror varies with different areas. On Long Island in the county of Suffolk we will personally ship FREE. early-mid 1800's antique furniture Civil War era MIRROR w/ MAHOGANY veneer
This early 19th century mirror measures 15" high x 13" wide and is made with two separate mahogany veneered frames. The inside frame having a nice beveled surface. The two frames are held together using square nails and the hanger on top is made of brass. Condition: a couple small nicks to veneer. The largest being 1/4" and located at top right corner; some bruises and small cracks on wooden frame but nothing distracting from its overall look; the brass hanger is original though it was moved at one time because it loosened up; mirror was replaced and shows some cloudiness. Overall it looks pleasing. If you need a nice small mirror on the wall somewhere in your home and like the antique Federal period look. Then this will do the trick. Cut glass mirror set inside old tin ceiling square, civil war,Sampson,Dewey,Hobso
From 1903 comes this very unique and special. One of a kind, mirror.you have piece of tin, 18 x 18 inches, adorned with faces of what I believe to be famous people from the civil war era, it only gives last names of Sampson, Dewey and Hobson, plus a naval ship on the bottom that I can't make out as to its name.each figure is in the corners of this piece, while inset is a very old, cut glass beveled mirror, which measures 8 inches square.there are also 3 hooks in the corners.on the back there is a fiberboard like material, with 1903 and Howell& Brothers? it's hard to read though.this mirror is in GREAT condition overall.as you might imagine, the mirror has some slight imperfections.a true antique for sure. 1850's Agnew&Sons Civil war officers brass shaving mirror
I don't know a whole lot about this mirror but can give the information that was given to me. I purchased this at a very well know large antique store liquidation auction in Iowa as they are no longer in business. This is what is written on the back and how they presented it. They sold it as a 1850's Civil war officers Brass shaving mirror on the back it has written on an old piece of paper attached to it. Agnew&Sons Brass shaving Mirror circa 1850's manufactured in Philadelphia. PA. Whether this is correct or not I have no idea. It is a very old shaving mirror and is a very nice display piece. Shipping on this item will be 20.00 to the lower 48 states. Thanks
Amazing Antique Civil War? Folding Mirror! Our #a10
Amazing Antique Civil War? Folding Mirror! Our#a10 Description: For your consideration today I have A very unusual Standing or Hanging Mirror. I think its Oak on the back and Walnut on the front. I think the mirror is new. But I would think the frame could be from the Civil War to WWI. Very well done. 7½x10¼" outside, mirror is 6x8½" Great brass hinge. See other frames! Please scroll down to see my photos! They Are part of my Description! All the rest: All items are old and not mint unless I say so. Some wear is expected on vintage or antique items and not considered a flaw unless a major detraction. I find them at estate sales and e state auctions. Please don't buy a vintage item and expect it to be like new unless I mention it. If you want new. Buy new. I encourage anything electric to have a new plug or cord ... moreput on, just common sense. I do try out all things to make sure they turn on, or work as intended, but can not guarantee how long a 60 year old item will keep working. I leave them pretty much alone, only wipe off dust so as-found patina. Some items are mine that I have collected for over 40+ years. Please see photos as they are part of my description. Ask questions BEFORE bidding please. Your bid is a contract to buy. No bid retractions. I also don't sell" on approval" I don't give partial refunds. I do not take E-check! I also expect payment within three days. And I will ship within three days. Usually Mon-Wen-Fri. Happy to combine shipping to save you money. If shipping seems high, I am more than happy to refund excess to your paypal acct. I have to assume someone in California, Washington or Oregon is buying and guess shipping which, if you are on the east coast, may seem high. I do not set international shipping rates, please check BEFORE you buy. I am in Virginia, which is on the east coast. If you are in California, it will take a bit longer to get there, so please when rating my service, keep that in mind. I would like to hear about any issues so I may
