Fine CHINESE ANTIQUE Bone Handle HAND MIRROR Bevelled Glass Carved Stone JADE NR
SEE INFO BELOW Rare Hand Mirror SEE PICTURE BELOW FOR CLOSE UPS Fine mirror with carved stones and probably jade plaque back ground still all original from an estate in Tucson. Arizona. SEE ALL 8 PICTURES BELOW. It is probably Chinese and the ox bone flowers that are cracked are in the shape of a bat or moth it appears? The cut stone flowers are lapis, malacite, carnelian(not sure about red) and the tiny butterfly looks like a very bright green wafer of jade which is different from all the pieces of stone. Even the tiny stems are cut from stone. The white ground appears to be a flat piece of mutton fat jade and almost every piece is still there. There is one thing missing in front of the butterfly as there is a tiny spot of old glue residue shown below. No other damage or repairs but there is some dried glue under the bone flowers where it ... moremeets the and offered as show. From a fine estate and well taken care of. Though not hallmarked it does test as silver. A nice item for any collection. In used condition with very light scratches/hazing to the glass and to the rear is a fine hairline split to the wood where it has dried out. This estate piece is such a unique find. The beveled mirror has real flowers and fern sprigs inlaid within(Under the surface of the mirror glass) The mirror is set into the wood in a copper bezel. The other side of the mirror is from one piece of oak. Nicely grained. It measures approximately 11" x 4 3/4" x 5/8" and weighs 12.2 ounces. Silvestri Trinket Box Bevelled Glass Silver Metal Mirror Interior Hand Crafted
Silvestri Glass and silver metal trinket box. It is 6-sided. It is about 5" from one point to another and about 2" deep. It has a hinged lid. The edges are done with a silver metal. Which I don't know what it is; but it makes it a little different from the brass ones. The glass is bevelled on the top and each panel. The top also has a bevelled line design. The bottom has a mirror. I don't see any breaks or chips or loss of mirror. The bottom sits on 4 round rubber discs. There is a sticker on the bottom which says: Handcrafted(copyright symbol) Silvestri Made in Taiwan. A little of the right side is gone and I am making the assumption that it says Silvestri and the"ri" is broken off. It is a lovely decorative trinket box!

Vintage Hand Mirror Faux Tortoise Shell Large Oval Bevelled Glass Bakelite?
This is a beauty. The mirror could be Bakelite or plastic or celluloid. But the faux tortoise pattern is gorgeous whatever the composition. The vintage could range between the 1920s to 1950s, I am not sure. The surface of the tortoise shell is in remarkably good condition showing some gentle wear. The bevelled edge mirror is perfect and retains all of its silvering. The overall length of the mirror is 29.5cm. At its widest(landscape) the frame plus mirror measures about 20.5cm. The other widest measurement of the oval(portrait) is just under 14cm. It has a satisfying heft in the hand and feels well balanced. I am uncertain of its origins but was found in Australia. UP FOR AUCTION IS THIS VERY NICE ANTIQUE/VINTAGE LADIES HAND HELD BEVELLED GLASS MIRROR. CONSIDERING ITS AGE I WOULD SAY THIS MIRROR IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THE BEVELLED GLASS MEASURES 6.5" X 4.5" THE MIRROR IN LENGTH IS ABOUT 15" LONG. IT DOES HAVE A FEW SPOTS ON THE GLASS ITSELF.

FOLK ART DECORATED 19TH C. AMERICANA HAND MIRROR WITH BEVELLED GLASS
This is a very unique piece of Americana. This tapering handle rectangular shaped hand mirror has its original folk decorated surface. The mirror back has an overall grained paint to probably simulate maple. It is then decorated with a six pointed star with round center flanked by two trailing vines. On the side with the mirror the upper part of the handle is decorated with an anchor. Additionally the mirror is framed with contrasting colored wood. Anecdotally the anchor decoration has led to the opinion that the mirror was made by a sailor for perhaps his girlfriend or wife. Also. It contains its original nicely beveled mirror. There is some age related discoloration in one corner of the mirror which you will see in the pictures. It is in outstanding condition otherwise.
