A nice old vintage Wood and Gesso ornate picture mirror frame. It is in good condition with some signs of wear and some losses to the applied decorations. It is marked by the maker with a metal tag on the reverse side for Narcissus Mirrors. This large mirror measures 3 feet 1 inch high and 1 foot 11 inches wide. The inner opening measures 2 feet 6 inches high and 1 foot 6 inches wide. It has a nice look like that of the frames on Maxfield Parrish Prints from the Art Deco Nouveau periods. Excellent Antique Art Deco Gold Gilt Wood & Floral Gesso Framed Wall Mirror
This is an excellent antique wall mirror in a wooden gold gilt frame with floral gesso accents and border all the way around. It looks like the gold was re-painted and there is only one tiny chip missing from the frame and one spot that was touched up. Otherwise, it is near-perfect. The mirror is also excellent, thick and heavy, crystal clear throughout, with only a few small black spots from age. The paper is intact on the back and there is a wire attached for wall hanging. The outer dimensions of the frame are 14 1/4" x 29 1/2" I will pack it very well, double box it, and insure it during shipping.

Original NARCISSUS Brand ART DECO Wall Mirror 1920s* Lg 42"x17" * Wood & Gesso
Gorgeous vintage original NARCISSUS Brand ART DECO Wall Mirror circa early 1920s Framed in wood and gilded gesso. Gilded Rose motif. Some geometric designs, fanciful tiny flowers and leaves, French blue and Mahogany brown paint accents. The mirror has a spectacular etched Sunburst design in the top portion. All in all this in a lovely almost 100 years old Art Deco period mirror with few and minor flaws. Condition: A few tiny specks of silver mirror backing loss(see pics) but otherwise is in clear and non-wavy condition. The frame is really very good… shallow. Minor scrapes on some areas of the sides(from moving I venture) a small chip out of the gesso at lower left edge( about 1” by ½“ and a shallow ½” chip maybe 3” in from lower right edge. Small scuffs on frame typical of old items. A large wall mirror. It measures about 42" ... moretall by 17" wide(including finials) by about 1” deep. An estate sale find. I had this mirror hung in the foyer. a nice“greeting” for visitors and a delight when I came home. Suitable for other day rooms and. Of course, the boudoir. NOTE: In the second pic I used deep blue velvet opposite the mirror to show the Sunburst design. Also. The etched part of mirror is shown reflecting trees outside the window. Some areas show as reddish in the pics. In reality those areas are gold.

This auction is for an antique mirror. It is oval in shape and measures approx. 25 by 31 inches. It has a gold liner and the frame has been painted black. There is some nice detail on the frame. I am uncertain of the age but can tell it is much older. Also quite heavy. There is some minor wear to the frame as can be scene in the photos. Thanks for looking. The mirror is perfect rectangle. I had to take the pictures angled due to the reflection. This is a nice sturdy heavy mirror. I would recommend a wall anchor when mounting on a wall.

A beautiful ornate top hanging hook, and wonderful art deco detailing all around its face. The mirror could be removed to use as a picture frame if wanted, but it is just gorgeous as a mirror. And it features a lovely art deco design around all four sides with the pediment at the top of the mirror being even more intricate. Much of the silver paint is intact. And the wood itself does show some signs of wear from age, however it is in good sturdy condition with no major issues. The print at the top of the mirror features a romantic moonlit River Scene. The colors of the print are still very vibrant and eye catchy. There is some waviness to the print. The mirror does show some loss of silvering. Typical to mirrors of this type. The cardboard backing has yellowed from age. And has some minor waviness to the top section and a small slit. This does not affect the print ... moreor the mirror by the way. Fancy Antique Art Deco Carved Wood Framed Etched Beveled Wall Mirror 15" x 29"
Here is a vintage or antique hanging wall mirror. This looks like it is from the 1920s or 1930s. It is unmarked but resembles Nurre. It has a mirror with scalloped sides and bottom and an arched top. There are 3 detailed etched flowers with 16 petals on each. The petals are made of lots of etched lines. The leaves and the drops falling from the flowers look like they are raised but are flat to the touch. not sure if this is reversed but it is a gorgeous effect) There are 3 screws that are diamond shaped. The wood frame is ornate with a large flower on the top and 6 smaller ones around the mirror. The rest of the carving is scrolls. The paint is two tone. Gold and silver, but some areas appear pink. There is a hanging wire on the back. I took this off the wall myself and it is heavy and the wire held the mirror steady with just a picture hanger ... moreon the wall. I am not an expert in mirrors so please look at the photos carefully. It measures 15 inches side to side at the bottom and 29 inches tall at the center of the mirror. A beautiful ornate mirror. Antique Art Deco Silver and Wood Mirror circa 1920's
You are looking at Art Deco mirror. Circa 1920's. found in collection of many antique and vintage items from that period. I believe the metal is silver. The black backing is wood. The metal was tested with magnet and positive for precious metal. However I did not see any mark to make this official. The markings may be on the sculptured lady's back but there are pins holding the piece together and I don't want to make damage removing them. There was a $75 tag on it when we found it in a estate collection of fine stuff we are selling. Starting the bid at what we consider a very low price. Please.
