The detailed shades are beautiful with the original orange highlights and are in great shape. There is a teeny sliver chip on the side of one shade near the fitter(barely noticable only mentioned for accuracy) and a thin line on the fitter tab of the other one that is not seen when shade is in fitter. See pictures. The electrical and switches do work but they have cloth wiring and should be checked by a professional or rewired. See picture of one of the sconces lighted. The colors on the sconces and shades are a little brighter in person than they are in the pictures. Overall these sconces are in great condition. Antique Old Art Nouveau Deco Period Floral Picture Mirror Wood Frame Flowers Urn
A nice old vintage Wood and Gesso ornate picture mirror frame. It is in good condition with some signs of wear and some losses to the applied decorations. It is marked by the maker with a metal tag on the reverse side for Narcissus Mirrors. This large mirror measures 3 feet 1 inch high and 1 foot 11 inches wide. The inner opening measures 2 feet 6 inches high and 1 foot 6 inches wide. It has a nice look like that of the frames on Maxfield Parrish Prints from the Art Deco Nouveau periods. It commands the center of attention when you walk in. It measure 4' long and 15 1/2" high at the highest point and 11" at the mirrors. I bought this at an estate sale and it still had just a little of that old paper backing they used. That stuff becomes so brittle thru the years, especially when these usually get stored somewhere in an attic and the heat just causes it to crumble. I just went ahead and removed the small amount ... morethat was still there, it was going to come off anyway. These are fairly simply to recover. The good part about the back being opened, you get to see that all 3 pieces are original with Central Glass still stamped on them. All 3 mirrors are beveled around all 4 sides. If you see spots or smudges in the pics, it's probably my window cleaning skills, the mirrors are in very good condition. Elegant Art Deco/ Art Nouveau stand mirror in very good condition. Bronze/ gold stand and frame in excellent shape. No chips or scratches, with a somewhat heavier tarnish on mirror frame. Mirror shows some discoloration and wear along upper right edge near frame and a faint discoloration in center when viewed at an angle(see Photo 6) Glass is mostly clear and shows a clean reflection. Metal back panel is tight and swivel function works well. Bottom of base is fitted with four small cork pads for surface protection. Mirror stands 16" high and measures 8" wide at swivel points. Vintage Antique? Art Deco Nouveau Footed Mirror Tray Lillies or Hibiscus
Up for auction is a vintage antique? footed mirror tray recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. It has an Art Nouveau feel to it but could be from as late as the 30's or 40's. There are some surface scratches to the mirror- common from glass perfume bottles etc. The corners show age to the mirror. The metal floral decorated frame has some pithing issues which should clean up with steel wool buffing or some cleaners suited for such cleaning. The frame does attract a magnet. The whole piece is approx 10 x 15" A nice size for jewelry display. Perfumes, glass sculptures, or could even be repurposed to hang on the wall. 02/07/15. Vintage Art Deco/Art Nouveau Brass Vanity Mirror Reflecting Enchanting Lady Large and Heavy She is 3 pounds and 13 ounces Dimensions: 13" x 9.5" Mirror needs nice cleaning. Should be easy to unscrew back and separate from lady/brass and get underneath brass to give nice/uniform cleaning. There are about 3 teeny tiny scratches that are in the mirror. These would not show up in picture so I cannot point them out. But they are very small and will not detract from piece. There are some"fuzzes" from the quick windex/paper towel use. Please know that these are just paper towel fuzz. Not part of the mirror. Also, The brass could use a cleaning as there are some greenish spots. Some people like this look so I did not clean.
