Yes. This is a true beauty. My elderly father retired from his antiques business bringing with him many wonderful treasure that we have all wanted to keep and just don't have the room to put them in. What a pity because they are all so beautiful. This mirror is one of his favorites also. It is a Regency Gilded Convex Eagle mirror from the late 1700's to early 1800's. The dimensions of the mirror are as follows: the diameter of the mirror alone is 15 1/2" The diameter of the mirror from left to right and from outer leaf to outer leaf of the frame is 25" and the height of the mirror from eagle head tip to bottom of leaf tip is 32" This mirror would make a lovely addition to any living room or foyer. What a site to behold.

IT'S ENGLISH. IT'S OLD, IT'S RARE, IT'S COOL, IT HOLDS IT OWN. This piece has it all going on. A true antique that fits right in today with contemporary designs. It is in untouched. Original condition with some gilt missing from the corvetto balls that dot the surround. Features an ebonized reeded slip at the rim of the convex mirror. There is a little black paint missing there also. The mirror has a couple of age spots but no major damage or fogging. The original metal link chain graces the reverse. There is an egg and dart motif on the four corners. A couple of the balls are a little loose but would only be noticed upon super close inspection. Late 1800's- early 1900's This is a rather spectacular Regency Style Convex or Bulls Eye Mirror which I rescued from the large dining room in the big house at Cousin Emma's place( please see below) The mirror is 30 inches tall and 18 inches wide. It is made of Gilded Wood and Gesso. The top of the banded circle surrounding the mirror. The Eagle and his olive leaves and the bottom foliage scroll work are all gilded with a bright gold. The interior concave circle with the thirteen balls representing the original thirteen colonies is of darker gold and the band against the mirror is painted black. This subtle combination of different golds and black is very handsome. My maternal grandmother. Blanche, who was born in 1879, grew up on the property ... moreand who was the source for most of the information I have of Cousin Emma and the old property, told me that this mirror had always hung in the large dining room for as long as she could remember. She also told me that she remembered that when her father, Hezekiah Cawood, died in 1924, this mirror was draped and covered with black crape. I don't have an exact idea of the mirror's age. But I would have to suppose that it dates to sometime from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. The mirror is in very good condition with no significant damage. Some of the gilding has age appropriate wear and the Eagle's wings appear to have been repaired at some time. The glass of the mirror has no scratches at all and reflects beautifully. It has just a very few and small age related streaks which add authentic character to the mirror. The photos give a very good idea of the elegance and beauty of this fine old mirror. Antique Long Mirror with Tapestry Gold Hollywood Regency
Original antique mirror out of a local estate. The mirror and frame are in very good condition, the tapestry area is very faded, you can tell what the scene is in person but it was hard for me to get a picture of that area. The scene is slightly different in the two sections but they both have a lady sitting in a chair with a young child with them, one also has a cat in front of them, they both have trees in the background. There is a wire on the back for hanging and it still has the original old tag on the back. The mirror measures 55" in length and 12 1/2" tall, 16 1/4" tall counting the center top section.

Up for auction is an Antique Mid Century Mirror! The Mirror is a Shield Style Second Empire Original! The mirror is in very good to excellent vintage condition! Only a few black specks of mirror loss visible. It looks to be made of a lacquered mahogany wood( The wood frame has a few slight marks but no deep knicks. The backing on this mirror will need some TLC. A few small pieces of wood are missing near the top and there is water stain damage near the bottom. Regency Style Antique English Oval Brass & Wood Mirror
An absolutely charming brass over wood mirror with simple lines and decoration. Perfect for an entry. Hall, library, bedroom or bath. A wonderful relic of'modern life' from the first half of the 19th century. It was purchased in London over a decade ago and has been much enjoyed for its simplicity of design and obvious age. The interior surface of the'pressed' brass frame is beaded. Bordered by a convex band and finished with an overlapping'paisley' shape design. The mirror is held in place between the brass frame. A hardwood'under-frame' and a thin, flat wood back panel. The wood under-frame is joined by a'loose tenon' at 12 and 6 o'clock. There are points of separation in the wood frame; the top tenon is broken, causing a split in the wood and there is another split at 3 o'clock. The back ... morepanel is also split. Between the mirror(which appears old. Was shaped to fit the frame and has jagged edges) there are three new thin sheets of wood to stabilize the mirror. The back panel is held in place by several old and newer nails. There are some unimportant scrapes and nicks on the back. There is a'hole' in the bottom at 6 o'clock, possibly for mounting? Due to its age all of the wood pieces fit together loosely. Nothing is snug or tight. This doesn't affect its appearance when hung, but does mean it should be handled somewhat gingerly. Two metal eyelets and a piece of string are used to hang the mirror. Could be restored. But why? Approximate measurements: 12 3/8" H and 10 7/16" W.
