The iron bar on back has a stamped number. These were from a fantastic Rancho Santa Fe CA estate from last week. Huge home with lots of French and Italian lighting and decor. These were by the fireplace so they were used for many years. Items I sell are not new. They have been used so do not expect mint condition unless otherwise noted. Also recorded under Bouhon et Cie, were prominent French bronziers specializing mostly in fine bronze decorated fire surrounds and fire-fittings, of which the present pair is a fine example. The firm participated in the 1878 and 1900 Paris Expositions Universelles. These are a rare find. A pair of SPECTACULAR Chenets Andirons that were made by Bouhon in the late 1800's. They are made of gilded bronze. And are very heavy, weighing approximately 20 pounds each. These Chenets have so many amazing design elements which tell a story of the time in which they were made. These are in wonderful condition and have dark green detail which is in fine condition except for a few small wear areas on one piece under a rim.
