Victorian Tall Mantel, with Wreaths and Spindle 7 Foot 4 inches Tall !
This mantle was originally located in a formal parlor of an nice Italianate Victorian home. This mantle is an Impressive 76 inches(7FT. 4 Inches) Tall. Mantel is 60 Inches wide and had really great Brackets on either side of the shelf. The Over-mantel part has nice wreath designs on either side and below the shelf is another wood appliqué. You have the main shelf and the"top shelf" above the mirror area. Nice turned columns on either side of the mirror area. The mirror was broken when I got this and the opening for the mirror is 14" x 24" The firebox opening is 35 3/4 x 35 3/4. I originally planned on using this in an upstairs bedroom on my restoration but have since located a more appropriate slate mantle. This has never been painted( A big plus as mots mantle like this have been) but will need some cleanup and It ... morehas been shellaced at some point. Dolphin Bronze Brass and Iron Andirons 14.5 inches tall. This a pair of antique Dolphin Andirons. They have never been cleaned and measure 14.5 inches tall by 9.5 inches wide and 12.5 deep. I'm not sure exactly the metal but they probably date to late 1800s or early 1900s. They are in great condition except the the vertical"leg" piece on the very back right one has become detached and is taped on as in the photo. It will stand up fine without this piece. It could be left off. Welded back on, or left or left like I have it with tape or glue.

Solid white oak mantle with ornate scroll carvings in great condition. I had this mantle removed from my library in an old brownstone building upper Manhattan. It has a bevel edged mirror which get's inserted inside the upper mantle section bringing additional light and elegance to any space. On the upper left and right hand columns it looks like either a candle style sconce was originally installed.
