Antique Style BRASS Tile HEAVY Fireplace Trim Architectural Salvage Restoration
I am not positive as to the age of this tile. But I believe it dates to the turn of the Century(circa 1900 to 1910) 5 1/2" Square; I believe it is made of brass. a magnet does NOT stick to it anywhere) The back also appears to be made of brass. The middle(viewed from the side) appears to be a metal color, but I could not get a magnet to stick to it. There are 2 lips, or edges, on opposite sides, so as to perhaps slide this into a track. In good condition; there are a few white marks that may be paint drips(another one that I have had wax dripped into it) I believe the function was trim around a fireplace, a mantel or perhaps in a kitchen. This is HEAVY. Was NOT used as a ceiling tile, I am fairly sure. Sold as is, no returns. interior design architecture remodeling

These andirons combined weigh 16 pounds and they each measure 7 and 7/8" wide by 20 and 1/4" tall by 15 and 1/8" deep. The log holders are bolted to the uprights. These andirons will be dismantled for shipping purposes. There is some wear present however there are no breaks, bends, or repairs present. There are numbers present on the bottom of the legs. The handles on this set look very similar to those on a set illustrated in Judith Miller's book, Antiques. Appraised at $1200 to $1800. I have shown that set from her book in the last photo.
