3 ANTIQUE VINTAGE CAST IRON & GLASS BALL FURNITURE CLAW FEET
Up for auction are 3 antique/vintage cast iron claw feet for furniture. I am not a subject matter expert. they come from the estate of an elderly couple and could have belonged to one of their parents. Not sure of their history! They are claw shaped and have a glass ball. Each measures about 3 3/8" long and 1 1/8" across the opening. There is one hole on the side but no screws. They are a rusty orange color. not sure if that is original or they were painted that way. there is some of that color on the glass balls. FINE ANTIQUE CHIPPENDALE STYLE MELON TOP ON BALL AND CLAW FEET BRASS ANDIRONS These are nice large brass andirons on ball and claw feet made in the Chippendale style of the 1700's. These were made in the late 1800's to early 1900's. These andirons feature a raised design of oak leaf and vines. The brass shows wear and has some light corrosion throughout. They could use a good polish as I have left them in the untouched condition. The size is 20.25" high by 12" wide at the feet and a full 18 3/8" deep. You will not go wrong with this set.
