You are bidding on a really attractive pair of antique fireplace andirons by Bradley& Hubbard. Bradley& Hubbard was in business from 1852-1940. Though I am not exactly sure how old these are, they do seem to be done in the Arts& Crafts style. As you can see, they are marked B&H 9570, so that might help with the dating. What I do know is that these cast iron andirons have a really beautiful form, over and above their functionality. They measure approximately 12 3/4" high by 15 3/8" deep. Pair of Antique Cast Iron Andirons Fire Dogs in a Arts and Crafts Mission Style
Here is an old pair of cast iron andirons in what looks like an arts and crafts. Mission or gothic style. They stand 17 3/4" high and are 9 3/4" across the front. Unfortunately, the one has a piece broken off at the back end so the log holder portion on one is shorter then the other plus it is bent for some reason. The one is 17 3/8" in length and is a little chunky, but very minor, at the very end. The shorter/bent one is 15 1/2" in length. We see no markings on these. As you can see from the pictures. They both have rust on them and are very dark from use. It looks like there was a copper/brass coating or wash over them which is pretty much worn away. We cannot get the bolts off. Although they stand nice and sturdy, we are selling them"as is" due to their condition. They each weigh almost 11 lbs. We could only ... moreget the bolt off the one with the broken log end and could not get the other one off. So we will have to ship them the way you see them in the last photo!
