Antique Fish or Dolphin Lamp Light Finial, Vintage Ornate Cast Iron, old paint
Here is a large old cast iron lamp finial in the shape of an fish or dolphin. It is about 4 3/4 inches tall. The threaded hole fits onto a standard lamp harp(shade holder) This is shown in the last photo. This finial would look appropriate at the top of a floor lamp or a large table lamp. It has has a copper colored paint that looks original. There is some paint wear around the edges that you can see in the photos. This is a large heavy finial that will add a visual interest to your room.

Globe is in overall good condition with normal wear. No Cracks or Breaks. There are some very small tiny chips and scratches. We had the Base Glass Bead Blasted to remove old paint about 4 years ago. Base has a light coat clear paint on it for protection. One of the shade screws is a bit tough to turn other two work fine. Globe removes and installs easily. These are numbering tacks used to match up window screens or storm windows to the window on older houses around 1948. They were packaged on cards, containing numbers 1-25 and 26-50.

Antique Elevator Floor Indicator, 1928, Bronze, Otis Elevator 14 1/2 inches Dia.
This antique floor position indicator appears to be made out of cast iron then covered with bronze. It looks bronze but a magnet sticks to it. The numbers and the pointer are bronze. When removed from the Water Board Building in Detroit 29 years ago it was highly polished. It was replaced with state of the art digital position indicators when the elevators were updated by Otis Elevetor co. It has been sitting in my basement ever since. I am sure it will polish up nicely if that is what the new owner would like to do. The building was built in 1928. It is an art deco design and designed by Louis Kamper. Mr Kamper designed many Art Deco High Rise buildings in Detroit. Do a search on the Building and designer to see what a state of the art building it was in it's day. This is a group of vintage brass hardware. There is a really nice old solid brass door handle. It is about 11" long. It does have an old lock on it that just needs to be cut off with some bolt cutters. The old steeple hinges were made by National Mfg. One is 4" and the others are 3 1/2" There are also 2 Hager hinges that measure 4" There is one brass door knocker and one old brass door stop that is spring loaded.
