But the base of this window lock looks like cast iron, while the top"dial" part may be brass(you can sort of see copper color where finish is worn) These are antique parts that have not been cleaned. Hinge was broken at some point. So there is only one half of the hinge left. You can clearly see the broken hinge pieces that are still on the pin. I have not attempted to remove the ball pin to remove the broken pieces. Not sure what kind of metal, but possibly bronze. Nice and solid.
