About 2" at the hinge. The long part is 3" The short part is 1.75" Moves freely. Not a perfect finish, marked 1398 on back of the big half and GRB Co. on the small. Does not attract a magnet. A lovely pair. These are the only ones we have of this style. But just recently came by lots more hardwars, keep a watch! The elaborate Victorian design is deeply embossed into the iron. It is incised on reverse: PATD JAN 26 1869. PATD JAN 18, 1870. 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" R by the original manufacturer. Condition is very good. Antique Fancy Bronze Plated Door Hinge LOT B of 2 + Parts Eastlake Style 5x5
Up for bid is a beautiful pattern set of large 5x5 inch victorian eastlake bronze plated hinges. Also included are three additional halves of the same hinge. One extra hinge pin, and two extra finials. The complete hinges are in good condition. Move freely and are not worn out. The complete hinges have paint and shellac on them, so the original surfaces are not visible, though there is probably some pitting. The hinge parts are also in good condition but may have paint. Eastlake Door Hinge Pair 3 1/2" Cast Iron Steeple Top Polished Antique - Damaged
Pair of Eastlake Hinges 3 1/2" Steeple top and Bottom- Antique Victorian Circa 1880s Cast Iron. Measuring 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and stamped on the back Total length with tips is 6" Polished.So nice and clean, but one steeple pin on each is damaged. On one. It is slightly bent, and extended up beyond where it should sit. On the other, the tip is also extended up, and the bottom of the steeple has a large chip. Both hinges open and close well, no stiffness I have several other matching hinge parts. All from the same old home, but they have not yet been cleaned. Shipping to the USA and Canada is FREE! Wood Plaque from Whittier Elementary School 1883-1974. Probably reproduction from 1974. Hinge measures 4" x 4" Upright measures 7 1/4" long 1 ding in metal@ top circle of tip. Vintage EASTLAKE VICTORIAN Cast Iron Steeple DOOR HINGE 3.5 x 3.5
VINTAGE DOOR HINGE- This is an incredible vintage piece that I believe is Eastlake Victorian. But no guarantees. 3 holes per side. It measures approximately 3/5" x 3/5" The total height including the steeple section is approximately 6.25" Great for restoration. Or for home decor in that amazing primitive Americana style! Very rusty. There is old paint on parts of it that looks like it could be flaked/chipped the rest of the way off. I have MANY other vintage items up for auction. check my other listings! Ornate Eastlake Victorian style Ball Tip Door Hinge Half w Pin 3 1/2 x 3 1/2
Hinge was broken at some point. So there is only one half of the hinge left. You can clearly see the broken hinge pieces that are still on the pin. I have not attempted to remove the ball pin to remove the broken pieces. Not sure what kind of metal, but possibly bronze. Nice and solid.
