Rare Vintage Pair Ornate Door Hinges Victorian Art Deco Heavy Antique Hardware
Up for auction today are two very ornate Victorian Art Deco style door hinges. The hinges are very ornate on the pins. Front and back portion that would be exposed when installed. They measure 5” by 5” when open and 1/8” thick. Total height including the pins is 8” The only markings are 5 x 5 on the backside. It appears that they were bronze/ copper plated at one time. But most of the plating is missing. There is some tan paint in spots and a little bit of surface rust– no pitting. I decided to sell these as found and let the end user clean, buff and polish to their liking. Please see photos to determine condition and ask questions. Antique Victorian Cast Iron 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Door Hinges Steeple Pins
These are Victorian-era door hinges of cast iron in good working condition. There is one pair for sale in this auction. Each hinge measures 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and is marked on the reverse side. There is damage to the bottom of the steeple on each hinge pin. As can be seen in the third photograph. The tops are still tight to the pin. There is also a casting flaw on the edge of one leaf. It does not appear that it would affect the strength of the hinge. They have been cleaned of paint but have not been recoated and are the last of this pattern in my inventory.

Offered for auction is this pair of iron fancy decorated door hinges. Wonderful scrolled design with the background stippled. Pins that hold the hinge together have a nice steeple like shape. Reverse side of hinges are marked 3 1/2 x 3 1/2. This corresponds to the dimensions of the hinges. You get yourself a nice set of wood screws and paint them black and they'll fit right in and look like the original screws. These are heavy hinges so probably useful for a moderately heavy door. Hinge has a little more than a 270 degree motion from completely closed to full open. That's a little more than 3/4 or a complete circle. You need these for your Victorian home renovation project.
