Offered for Auction: Rare set of 4 Old Hand Forged Iron Soldier Style Shutter Dogs. The dogs feature a large lag screw and a long cylindrical shaft and spade shaped tail with a hole in order to secure it to the house. The iron has been japanned with black enamel and repainted at some point over the years. However it has flaked and worn off due to weather exposure. I am uncertain if they can be reused, however they would make a nice template for new ones to be fabricated from. I am uncertain of their age or origin but they could have been forged here in New England. Condition: Fair to Poor given their age. All of the dogs have surface rust. They are scratched and discolored from use and age. They are misshapen and bent as shown. The top step is 14” x 5 ½” The steps are 3 ½” deep. Shipping weight is 22 pounds. There is some paint on it. A relic of years of use. This adds to the“shabby chic-ish” look of the piece making it a perfect decorative kitchen step ladder. It also has interesting green paint on the metalwork. Tiny Antique Vintage Cast Brass Pulley Tool w/ Mounting Bracket
This tiny. Cast brass pulley measures 2 1/4" tall, has a 1" wide wheel and a 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" diamond-shaped mounting bracket. When the piece is hangingthe total length is 2 1/2" and it has the versatility to hang from a wall or ceiling. The pulley can hold a 1/4" cord/rope but I just don't know what it was made for- although the swinging nature of the piece makes it seem nautical. This is an original late Victorian cast iron toilet roll holder with registered design number impressed to the rear of 335687 which dates it to 1899. The holder plate is beautifully cast in iron with central queens crown above a scrolling flower and foliage cartouche with Drayton MIll to the centre. The actual holder is suspended via a steel frame with circular beech reel. The reel can be removed by simply stretching the steel support. The backing is made from walnut with a lovely shaped and chamfered top and edge with old paint marks to the rear. There are 2 holes to secure to a wall. There are marks and scratches and some light rusting to the iron but overall in nice condition. As mentioned. This is an original fitting and not reproduction. ❤ 2 Door Hinges nickel brass acorns old antique Salvage VINTAGE 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
This lot of hinges would be great for a person renovating an old house and needs some nice matching hinges. Marked 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Good old vintage cast iron is stronger and harder than the new soft stuff they use in modern reproduction hinges. Likely cast in the last 1880's to the early 1900's. The acorns are nickel on brass and it has worn some in places and the brass shows through in some areas. These have a nice smooth. Clean casting. The pins are loose and removable. These hinges are ready to go and swing for the next 100 years.

Rare Vintage Pair Ornate Door Hinges Victorian Art Deco Heavy Antique Hardware
Up for auction today are two very ornate Victorian Art Deco style door hinges. The hinges are very ornate on the pins. Front and back portion that would be exposed when installed. They measure 5” by 5” when open and 1/8” thick. Total height including the pins is 8” The only markings are 5 x 5 on the backside. It appears that they were bronze/ copper plated at one time. But most of the plating is missing. There is some tan paint in spots and a little bit of surface rust– no pitting. I decided to sell these as found and let the end user clean, buff and polish to their liking. Please see photos to determine condition and ask questions.
