Each one is Shiny Clean and Hand Rubbed with Renaissance Microcrystalline Wax. All hinges are in excellent condition. They have loose pins and steeples, although one of the steeple tip is broken off. 1929 ART DECO BRASS DOOR PULLS (pair) from Pacific Stock Exchange Bldg. in LA
Up for auction are th ese gorgeous BRASS door pulls- the matching pair. Th ese authentic"ART DECO" p ulls come from The Pacific Stock Exchange building in downtown Los Angeles which was built in 1928-1929. They come with the four original brass screws. It shows n ormal wear and patina from almost 85 years. Each door pull is 6" tall and the holes are 3-1/4" on center. Each pull is comprised of SOLID brass except for the cylindrical column sections which are hollow to allow for the internal screws that connect top and bottom plates. Needless to say th ese pieces are obscenely rare. A nice pair of older solid brass towel racks. One bar measures 18 inches and one is 12 inches. Both 3/4 inch diameter. They appear to be solid brass, but I cannot be sure. The wall mounts measure 3 1/2 inches in total length, mounts to the wall on a 2 inch base, and the bars will sit 2 7/16 from the wall. The large ball on the end is 1 3/8 in diameter. Okay. I really do not know what this held in place but it came from a site I was metal detecting this summer on a former farm that dated from the 1850's-1940's. It is extremely heavy duty and the two bolts that held it in place are rusted in their holes(2) This might have also come from a piece of farm machinery. Possibly held an axle to a frame? It's thick and heavy and old. It was found nearly a foot down in the ground but is solid as a rock.
