Pair of vintage metal barn. Shed door, or gate strap hinges with screw type pintles. These hand made. Double sided hinges measure 10" long and 8 11/16" long. They are both 1 1/2" wide. The inside gap between the straps is 1 1/4" at the hinge. The gap will pull in at the wider ends when screws are put into the hardware. They were used on the same door and have a little of the red paint remaining. The longer hinge would be best used at the top of the door or gate. The pintels are heavy duty and measure 11 1/4" long and 3/4" in diameter. The threaded portion is 5 1/4" long and there is an old square nut at the ends. They are extra long for a thick post.

2 Large Primitive Antique Hand Forged Iron Barn Door Grain Bin Stable Hinges
This set of 2 old iron hinges have an unusual curved design and probably were made for a stable. Barn or possibly a large grain bin. Each hinge measures 18 1/2- 19" tall x 16-17" wide when open( 8ish" when closed) is hand forged so the lengths vary and is curved into a horse shoe type shape. The curved portions are 1" wide( mostly) and the centers that meet at the pin are 2" wide. Close examination will show how the width varies, the curves flatten and the thickness wavers- and the last photo best shows the old mustard/gold color they were painted. Some parts of the flat sections are 1/4" thick, others less. These pieces are heavy( 4 pounds each) so the total weight might make shipping expensive, and I SHIP ONLY TO THE USA! Paypal preferred. Antique Wrought Iron Barn Door Strap Hinges With Bean End 21 Inches Long 18th century This pair of antique strap hinges were hand hammered by a blacksmith. They do have the usual rust and surface corrosion. Expected of a piece this age. I also note a small area on the"back" of the one hinge where a piece of the metal is flaking upward. Its nothing major. The area measures about 2 inches long and at the widest point, 1 inch. see photo) Other than the above the hinges are straight. These type of hinges can be used on barns or other out buildings. Even doors on stone homes, or log structures. The pins used with these hinges can usually be purchased at perhaps a local hardware store or on online. The Hinges measure approx. 21 inches long and 2 inches at widest point.

Pair of ANTIQUE RUSTIC STRAP HINGES Nice original pair of rustic country hinges. These were hand forged by a local blacksmith and taper down being thinner as well as narrowere at the'Penny' end. They are 18 inches long from the hinge pin. And the frame side is 2 inches wide by 10 inches long. They have some surface rusting and are sound except for the bottom end of one of them which looks like it may have been in contact with the ground, and rusted away. However, there is good enough metal to cut the end off and get a piece of rectangular steel welded back to match the other. There is some wear and slack vertically at the hinge pin, but this can be accommodated when re-hanging the door so should not pose a problem. The pin itself seems good. The mark seen on the back is not a crack, but is the end of the metal that has been forged ... morearound the pin. A great pair of very old hinges perfect for restoration in a historic building.
