Up for sale is this set of two wrought iron double sided door hinges. This set can be used on either the right or left side. This set comes from a catalog company called Gardener's Eden. Once owned by Williams Sonoma, which is no longer in business. They have never been used and have been in storage for many years. The hinges have a nice dimpled texture on either side and are very sturdy and heavy. There are a few rust spots near the hinge itself, so please view pics thoroughly. The hinges swing nicely but could probably use a little oil. They measure 8-1/2" on the longest side. And 5" on the short side with the gap in between for the door measuring just a hair over 1-3/4" please email and questions you might have. Antique Wrought Iron Barn Door Strap Hinges With Bean End 21 Inches Long 18th century This pair of antique strap hinges were hand hammered by a blacksmith. They do have the usual rust and surface corrosion. Expected of a piece this age. I also note a small area on the"back" of the one hinge where a piece of the metal is flaking upward. Its nothing major. The area measures about 2 inches long and at the widest point, 1 inch. see photo) Other than the above the hinges are straight. These type of hinges can be used on barns or other out buildings. Even doors on stone homes, or log structures. The pins used with these hinges can usually be purchased at perhaps a local hardware store or on online. The Hinges measure approx. 21 inches long and 2 inches at widest point.

Purchased at a location Amish antique auction in Lancaster Pennsylvania. I'm not sure what all the parts are. But they are all heavyweight. The white painted handle is a thinner and lighter metal. I've measured some of the bigger pieces so you can see the size of all the pieces in comparison. You get the following: 2 barn strap hinges? Longer one measures approx 14"x1.5" The shorter measures approx 10.25" x 1 1/8" 1 latch that looks like a crow bar- 18.75" 1 horseshoe looking handle measures approx 6" long. iron piece with round loop on end. handle. This is an original antique hand forged wrought iron barn door strap hinge. This. Along with several others I will be listing, were pulled from an old estate in upstate New York and my guess is they date to the early 1800's. This blacksmith made strap hinge has an ornate tip and round holes. It is sturdy and appears to be structural sound. Does have pitting and wear that just adds to the overall patina and appeal. An absolutely beautiful piece of american architectural history that will compliment any decor. Measures roughly 1-1/2" in width and 19-1/2" in length.
