Walter Hubbard, and Orson and Chitten Hatch began in Meriden, Connecticut in 1852 as Bradley, Hatch& Company. Clocks were the sole product of the newly formed company. When the Hatch brothers sold their interests in the firm two years later. Nathaniel Bradley, William Bradley and Walter Hubbard formed a company which they named simply Bradley and Hubbard. By 1856, they were producing call bells and sewing machines, but clocks continued to be the main line of production throughout the 1850's and 1860's. Many northern manufacturers prospered immensely during the Civil War due to the expanded market west of the Mississippi and increased foreign exports. Bradley and Hubbard was no exception, adding the production of flags, hoop skirts, spring measuring tapes and match safes during the war years. The discovery of oil in Pennsylvania in 1859 also had a great impact on the product line of Bradley& Hubbard with the decision to begin production of kerosene burning lamps. By 1871. Kerosene virtually replaced whale oil for heating and illumination and new ways of burning it more efficiently were needed. Antique Art Nouveau style table mirror 1900
This art nouveau style table mirror is 12 ¼ inches tall and 9 ¾ inches wide. It is decorated with flowers of various types along the edges. It is likely made of spelter and has a gilded color to it. It has the original beveled mirror. There is a metal wire post that comes out to allow it to stand. This dates to the art nouveau period. Around 1900. The mirror is quite heavy weighing 3 ½ lbs. The frame has some discoloration including it is yellowish at the bottom. The metal has been cracked at the bottom right and repaired, but the crack is evident. The mirror has wear and some loss.

This is a beautiful tilting dresser mirror made of cast iron in the Art Nouveau style. It has lots of faces. Angels and cherubs around the mirror. Marked on the back Iron Art, so its from the 1950's, but it still fits in with antique dresser items, as you can see. Excellent condition, no damage. It could also be used as a picture frame. Art Deco Mirror with custom matching Sconces
Mirror is from the mid 1930's. The mirror was purchased about 14 years ago at the San Francisco Art Deco fair. Some water marks behind blue on mirror as shown in pictures. The matching electric sconces are not antique but were beautifully paint matched and ARE included in the price. The mirror is 38" wide by 29" tall and weighs approx 50 pounds. The sconces are 11" wide(bottom) by 10.5" tall. I suggest local pick up due to the fragile nature and the heavy weight of the mirror.

Has the glass top and a lower shelf, which sits about 6 1/2" off the floor. Measures about 18" in diameter at the outside, 17" inside the curves. 26" tall. Great condition for a 70+ year old table. Just shows some normal finish wear to the wood, easily refinished if so desired. Just a couple of small silvering loss spots on the glass, along with a few small scratches, and it's the thicker glass on this piece, not that thin stuff you see on some of these tables from the era. Small Shabby 23"x15" Antique Art Nouveau Gesso & Wood Petite Gold Gilt Mirror
Original early century art nouveau frame which measures 23" high and 14-5/8" wide in good strong condition over-all. As can be seen in the close-up photos of the top. There is a separation in the gesso(and this could be an over-lay of carved wood rather than gesso- can't tell for sure as the finish is adhering quite well and this separation does not weaken or compromise the integrity of the mirror- it's still retains its strength) The mirror, when seen from the bottom looking up, is a bit wavy. It may be and probably is the original mirror. As can be seen on the back there was moisture on the finish piece and the mirror is not affected by this. The wire on the back is doubled and old. but looks like it will serve its intended purpose for some time to come.

Offerd for your consideration is this lovely Nickel over brass plated Travel mirror with easel stand back. The easel is retractable in that it will lay flat against the mirror backing to pack easily for traveling. The easel is also stable and sturdy when open for use. The mirror can stand either vertically or horizontally so you can easily adjust the viewing angle of the mirror to suit you. The beveled glass mirror is thick and substantial and has a few spots of missing silver backing as seen in photo#1. The back of the mirror is covered with an ornate embossed printed paper cardboard with some of the paper torn off. The overall measurement is 8 3/4" tall(from top to little ball feet) by 6 1/4" wide. Antique art nouveau small brass wall mirror with 2 candle sconces
This is a charming small art nouveau wall mirror and 2 adjustable candle sconces. They are connected to the center of the frame with a bolt and ball nut that I do not feel are original although it has always been there for the 25 years that I have had the piece. It is all brass and has the face of a cherub at top center and on the back has a cast in loop to pass a wire through for hanging. The mirror is held in place by a metal strip screwed to the frame. The mirror is in perfect condition and measures 4" x 1 1/4" The complete length is 9 1/4" x 4 1/4" at widest part of frame. The sconces when fully extended are 8" and I will leave them that way for shipping. There are no identifying marks on it. I do not accept returns or give refunds. A stunning Cincinnati Art Carved Oak mirror with floral carving from 1899 that features the initials KS. The carving on this frame is in one word. Spectacular. Overall, the mirror measures 21 1/4" wide by 26" high. Condition is excellent with barely noticeable losses to a few tips of petals(see pics) The mirror is original. Antique Victorian Metal Tri Folding Triptych Beveled Mirror 1888 Art Nouveau This antique Triptych. Tri folding mirror was patented in 1888 and would of most likely been used from 1890 to 1915. It's a really old triptysh used for shaving. Everything is original on this metal framed folding mirror, including a rare handle built on and very well fix ed. On the back of each mirror there's a lincrusta paper who look like leather. It's an art nouveau decoration with an embossed Lincrusta floral motif. However there's a color variation on each of the embossed coverings. It is in very good condition. With some bits of gesso gone, and a few that have been silver retouched, please see photos. It is a good size for anywhere in the home. It is 24 by 18 1/2“ approx. with clear mirror. The thing that makes this mirror a bit different is the oval inner frame around the mirror. This is 4 pieces of tile that surround the mirror. Antique Folk Art Grain Painted Frame with Mirror c.1840 Antique hand painted frame. Reddish brown with black stripes. Pine with square nail construction. Original painted decorations on front, sides were never painted. It has a mirror that is not original to it. The mirror isn't all that old but does have quite a bit of tarnishing to the silver. I don't have the original wood backing board or the hanger or wire. It does have a cardboard backing with newer nails and wire. This frame would be good for an early folk art painting, early print, sampler, theorem, etc. Size- Outer) 16 3/4" x 12 1/2" Size- Sight- front opening) 13 5/8" x 9 1/2" Size(Opening in back) 14 1/4" x 10 1/8" Condition: The paint is original and hasn't been retouched. In the folded position, this brass mirror measures 13 by 17 inches. When opened, the overall length is 33 ½ inches. Both celluloid panels and the fancy brass frame are in perfect condition.
