Vintage Solid Red Cedar Wardrobe Beautiful Circa 1940 Door Lock With Key
A very nice solid red cedar wardrobe measuring 21" deep X 33" wide X 65" high. The wardrobe is made from beautiful red cedar. Not always available today. The left door latches inside at the top. The right door contains a key lock(key included) that goes into the left door. We believe the wardrobe is from the late 1930s, well built and in very good condition. There is a hanger rod, inside top. Also a deep bottom for lots of storage. Yes, the aroma is still there.

Circa 1930. The wardrobe features a classically styled cloud shaped cornice and triple vertical reeded front corners. The two doors are highly figured with a stunning walnut veneer. The right hand door is opened using a sprung push button, flanked by the original deep red bakelite handles. There is also a working lock and key to the door. The left hand door features two latches, which keep the door closed whilst the right hand door is open. Inside the wardrobe are four-quarter circle internal shelves to the right. To the left, is a metal telescopic extending hanging rail, which extends outwards so that you can easily hang your clothes on the rail. On the inside of the right door is a metal hanging rail. Below the drawers, there is a protruding moulded section. Below are two large hand dovetailed oak lined drawers, which also feature the original bakelite handles. The wardrobe sits on four slim protruding bracket feet and features solid backboards. Antique Wardrobe / Armoire, Solid Mahogany, Possible Entertainment Center
This is a great old heavy solid mahogany wardrobe which I believe is early 1900's. It has been in my family for at least 60 years. The outside was refinished with a blond antiqued finish many years ago and is still in fair to good condition. It is very solid without any loose joints. The inside is all solid mahogany drawers which appear to have their original varnished finish. The drawers are in excellent condition for their age and do not need any refinishing. A few of the dovetail joints are slightly loose but really do not need any attention. There are seven huge open-front drawers which glide in and out easily. It's been in dry storage for the last 20 years. The caning on the doors was done at the same time as the refinishing and is in excellent condition. At one time there were apparently fabric panels in the doors. The hardware ... moreis still there if you want to stretch fabric behind the caning. The doors come with the original brass key and working lock. In my opinion. This wardrobe can be used as is without major refinishing. Or you can restore the outside to the original mahogany finish. There are a few cosmetic issues: A small piece of the hand-carved detail is missing on the top of the right door. Also one piece of narrow dental molding is missing from the left side of the lower panel of the right door. It's fairly simple dental molding and would be easy to recreate with 1/8" dowel and a triangular file. These defects are not very noticeable until you get close. There is also a middle cross support visible in the photos. If the top drawers are removed. This support can be a shelf to turn this armoire into an entertainment center. It would accept a TV up to 31.5" wide(about 34" to 35" diagonal) The lower drawers could house electronics and media. The measurements are 64" high. 36" wide at the top, and 23" deep. This wardrobe is heavy but fairly light with the drawers removed. You will need to arrange for your own pickup here in central NY, 13413, near Utica. Ema

We've decided to sell off some of the items as we simply have no more room. I'm not an antique dealer or expert and do not want to misrepresent the items. We've taken many pictures so you can decide for yourself. I did notice several SAW MARKS which may indicate the age, and believe the wheels are wooden, but still need to clean them to see. Other than using the safest wood cleaner on the market, we've done nothing to it. One back wheel ball is missing, and there is a chip on the back board on lower left side as pictured. Antique Chifferobe Wardrobe Dresser early 1900s
No shipping. Best I can tell this is at least 100 years old so I guess it can be called Antique. The beveled mirror is very nice. Sometime maybe back in the late 70's or 80's the old finish was stripped off. The photos of the mirror frame are close to it's color. Maybe about the same time the drawer pulls were replaced. It has it's share of some dings and age cracks. The floor in the closet is water stained and a bit warped. The lighter photos are more what it looks like. Antique Wardrobe BIG 7 Foot Solid Oak Wardrobe Freestanding Wardrobe
My best guess is this wardrobe dates back to late 1800's or early 1900's. I can tell you its been sitting in the same house since it was built in 1910. So its at least that old, but still in nice condition. It does have surface wear scratching as pictured, but its all cosmetic with no major damage, it is missing the lock. This is a BIG piece of furniture that stands 7 foot tall, is 49" wide, and 20" deep. Solid oak antique piece. This is a large wardrobe that is from England and brought to the US by an American Soldier in the 1980's. It is a very nice piece with very few flaws. It has a mirrored front door with the original door and draw handles and key. It also has the original inside hanging bar and hooks. It has a wide over hanging top and one draw at the bottom. It comes apart in 3 pieces. The top molding piece, the center with the mirrored door and the bottom drawer piece. If you look at pictures#8,9 and#10 you can see one lower edge on the outside is missing a small area of the molding. It is sturdy and solid and all of the doors and drawers function well. There are some minor cosmetic issues to point out. The left door’s oval panel appears to have been replaced. The top right corner of the crown has some small damage. The left side of the wardrobe has two age separations(the right side has one at the base) and an old scratch. Also on the left side is some very slight damage to the inlay on the crown towards the back. Great antique wardrobe. Original bar, hinges, and key. Not sure of origin-have found no markings. Has few nicks and scratches. Age seems to fall around early 1900s. I have used it as a wardrobe and it fits more clothing than you would think! Bar has sliding hooks. Shelves and a desk top could easily be added for an enclosed office/craft cabinet. Italian Art Deco 1925 Triple Armoire or Wardrobe. Beveled Mirror. A spectacular Art Deco 1925 period triple armoire was hand crafted in northern Italy. Walnut with matched burl. The finish is in excellent condition on this dramatic European furniture. Bakelite and nickel pulls are original. Classical detailing is carved by hand. The shaped and beveled mirror is original with a little antique"smoke" to show its age. A key operates the two outer locks, there is no key for the center mirrored door. Interiors have one closet pole and some shelves. This historic furniture could be fitted with additional hanging poles or shelves as desired.
