This oak armoire is 82" tall. 52" wide and 18.5" deep. It has two doors which measures 59.5" x 23.5" There are two drawers on the bottom which measure 6 3/8" x 16" each. The molding at the top would blend nicely with arts and crafts design. There are two splits on the back side of the left door on the back board. This does not in any way affect stability. The right door has some chewiness at the corner on the inside only probably from wear. There are two plastic over metal shelves currently installed. There is a wooden top shelf and the top of the base serves as a fourth shelf. Can hold stereo equipment nicely. There is a drilled hole on top(back of course) for wiring to come through to electrical outlet. We do not have keys. Antique European English Oak Armoire Late 1700's- Early 1800's All Pegged
This is a beautiful antique wardrobe of English origin. We believe this piece dates to the late 1700's/early 1800s. Constructed from oak. This is a solid piece of funiture with peg construction. The overall dimensions of this piece are: height = 75 5/8" width at base =57 5/8" depth = 20" The top of this has a crest with dental molding. The cabinet at the crest measures 21 5/8" x 60.5" The armoire has two doors on the top case that have locks on them. The left door has a key and locks but we do not have the key for the right side. Both doors have brass knobs and hinges on them. I believe these are original pieces that have been polished. This top section measures as follows: width = 54" depth = 17 13/16" The inside dimensions for each side are: 25.5" wide x 46.5" height x 16" depth. There ... moreis a wall between the two sections. Both sections have rods for hanging clothes. Beneath this section is a bank of four drawers. The drawers are pegged as well. There are cracks on the top two drawers that have been repaired. It also appears on the inside of the drawers that the handles were replaced. This piece is made from two sections and can be broken down to move it. There are appropriate signs of age including scratches. Dings, divets, cracks, and losses to the wood. This is a previously owned item and it is being sold as shown. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique(c1920) wheeled beverage serving cart. This wonderful cart is made of walnut with an oak top. According to the previous owner, the cart had been a serving piece on an old passenger railroad. The cart has a center drawer on the upper front. The glass knobs are old and original and feature an incised/ribbed design. The cart has a two tone finish which is quite striking. The oak top is a medium golden brown while the walnut(shelves and legs) is in a very dark finish. There are brass flat screws which are exposed for a"riveted" effect. The top of the cart features these on all sides(photo 5) The cart is wheeled with the original casters in place. The drawer has an old"barn wood" looking bottom with the wood rough hewn. There are several areas of stamped letters and numbers under ... morethe cart with most of them being indiscernible. The cart is stamped"I.C.C.6" very clearly under the middle shelf. I do not know if this is a manufacturer's mark. There is a piece of an old moving sticker still attached as well. This is a beautiful. Antique cart with a sleek and slightly modern design. It is in very good antique condition. It is quite sturdy and the wheels move freely. The wheels do show some age and are pitted from use. There is a very slight water mark on the top but it is not distracting. There is a mark on the lower shelf as well. The wood has some minor chips, but again, nothing distracting. The finish is old and original and has a general"crackled" appearance. The cart measures are follows: The top. Which over hangs the entire piece is 34.75" wide and 19.5" deep(front to back) The shelves are 24.5" wide and 15.5" front to back. The cart stands 29.5" tall. There is approximately 9.5" of visible space between the skirted section of the top and the middle shelf and 7.5" of visible space between the lower and middle shelves. Antique wardrobe/armoire. I have owned this since the 1970's purchased from an antique dealer. Was told it is turn of the century. Knockdown type. Pictures really show the condition. Antique Oak Armoire w/Single Door/Drawer & Beveled Mirror Knock Down
We are pleased to offer this beautiful and functional antique armoire. This piece dates to the early 1900's and is in great condition for the age. The wardrobe body measures 34.25" wide x 16.25" deep. The crown molding at the top measures 39.75" wide x 20.25" deep. This has a single door fronted by a beveled mirror. The mirror is in good condition and there is a small area that the molding that holds it in place was replaced. This can be seen in the last photo. The inside has mounted hooks around the top. There is no rod and there are no shelves inside this unit. There is a nice deep single drawer at the base that has dove tail joints. There is a keyhole on the door and drawer but we do not have a key for this. There are age and use appropriate scratches and dings on this. This large early 20th century wardrobe offers two hanging closets, each with a hanging bar and one has a 10 inch deep campaign drawer in the bottom for storing shoes or boots and a full size beveled dressing mirror on the central closet door; three large blind pull out tray shelves, behind that door along with a dresser with three large drawers. The inside of all the closets and shelving is lined in a yellow fabric which is overall clean and in good condition for it's age, adding a finished touch. The design of the piece includes an interesting construction technique that highlights the quartersawn oak wood and decorative metal hardware. IL- Far west Chicago suburbs) Up for auction: A gorgeous. Old, oak armoire, closet or wardrobe. It has a beveled-mirrored door and one drawer, offering tons of elegantly hidden storage. I believe it's English, based on its instructional tag: This Wardrobe when dismantled will pass the narrowest stairway or passage. Instructions: Unscrew cornice and plinth from inside of carcase. Hold the door. I can't be certain, but believe it likely dates to the early 1900s. I had too many photos to include one of the patent number(small tag nailed inside the drawer) which reads: PROVL.PAT.NO. 86004-20. The inside compartment has three hooks across the center back top. And one hook on each side. The drawer ... moreis dovetailed. The mirror has a simple bevel. My photos aren't the best- sorry- bad lighting. I think. It's a medium-dark oak. Beautiful! Condition: Overall. For it's age, I think it's in nice vintage condition with age-appropriate imperfections. I think it displays beautifully(and is superbly useful) By way of flaws: 1) the left side. Center, shows a split(where two oak panels meet) it bows out slightly. I don't think it's really distractive, but could probably be remedied by the handy; 2) there's a 2" x 1/2" chip on one side, near the back, relatively near the bottom- hard to see; 3) can't really see it, but the bottom skirt is angled a bit, with a small split on one side; 4) the mirror I think is totally functional and charming as is, but has spots of loss of silvering and minor imperfections; 5) in the drawer, you'll see there are wood support blocks(these came with this- I assume for the underside- that look supplementary supports) that probably could be glued into position for additional support(I haven't investigated; the closet seems fine as is) 6) the door handle has pulled a bit with a small break in the metal- still
